Health Issues and Therapies for Mercury in the Signs

Mercury in Aries: Those with this placement should watch for a tendency toward vertigo, nervous headaches, facial spasms or insomnia. They respond well to exercise, which discharges excess mental energy.

Mercury in Taurus: Those with this placement should watch for a tendency toward throat inflammations, swollen lymph nodes, eating disorders or TMJ. They respond well to aromatherapy, massage and therapeutic touch.

Mercury in Gemini: Those with this placement should watch for a tendency toward carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, bursitis or asthma. They respond well to breathing exercises, playing wind instruments and to exercises involving cross patterning.

Mercury in Cancer: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward gastro-intestinal problems and pains, ulcers, food allergies or inherited nervous conditions. They respond well to comfort foods, water therapy and to learning to listen to their gut instincts.

Mercury in Leo: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward cardiac arrhythmias, pain in the back or crises of confidence. They respond well to sand tray therapy, psychodrama and team sports.

Mercury in Virgo: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward digestive upsets, irritable bowel syndrome, erratic assimilation of nutrients or self-criticism. They respond well to digestive aids, natural diets and to the development of daily meditational practices, and particularly to giving thanks.

Mercury in Libra: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward hormonal imbalance (especially of adrenals), kidney infections or asthma. They respond well to drinking plenty of water, art therapy and to co-counseling.

Mercury in Scorpio: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward endometriosis, rectal spasms, constipation, hemmoroids or ulcers. They respond well to cathartic therapy and to deep-acting homeopathic treatments that take familial predispositions into consideration.

Mercury in Sagittarius: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward liver problems, scattered thinking or sciatica. They respond well to yoga and to exercise regimes, particularly those involving stretching.

Mercury in Capricorn: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward workaholism, melancholia, inherited nervous conditions (may skip a generation) or gout. They respond particularly well to cranio-sacral and chiropractic manipulations and to well-documented traditional therapies.

Mercury in Aquarius: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward nervous eczema, shingles, anxiety attacks or insomnia. They respond well to acupuncture and homeopathic treatment and other energy healing modalities.

Mercury in Pisces: Those with this position should watch for a tendency toward poor motor control in legs and feet, fatigue disorders or hypersensitivity to drugs and/or alcohol. They respond particularly well to visualizations, music therapy and the power of prayer.

Very cool article.

I have Merc in Sag, and I do know that stretching is one of the most helpful things I can do.

I think Mercury sign and aspects/and Sun aspects to outer planets come into play.

sun(vitality)/mercury(health/work)/also mars.

I never even thought about Mercury and how it may relate to our health unless is was in the 6th house.
Mine is in the 1st at 27* Scorpio, but I find the one for Sag fits since I suffer from sciatica, have very scattered thinking these days and being alcoholic. Plus, I love tai chi/yoga and stretching.
