Topic: Need some help on my left ankle and left calve..

I have been taking this Cardio Kwando class and this Step it up class and I love this, I really do, what a rush, but when I do this my left ankle and left calve give me problems, I think its bc I put alot of weight on it and I was not using to do that. I am right handed and all my strength is on my right side, When driving and stuff my right foot is used..My question is if anyone can answer what excersises can I do to strengthen up my ankle and calve so it does not hurt like it does..Thanks IP: Logged |

If you have only just started the classes Mama then you will have muscle soreness. But the body is an incredibly adaptable piece of work and you will find by the 6th class your muscles will stop hurting so much. Try not to leave more than 3 days between workouts. You need to stress muscle on a regular basis to force it to adapt. Ankle rotations 20 per foot a day and 20 calf raises standing on alternate legs (to force each leg to develop and not favour one side) will do the trick. But if you are an Aquarian like me? Thanks Bunnies, I have been kick boxing for 4 years but this Cardio Kwando class is so much more advance, and yes what the problem is, is that I let days go in between the classes, so I will try and do more in between the class...Ankle rotations sounds right and and the other exercise for my calves.. No I am not a Aqua by sun, but my rising is Aqua as well as quite a few other upper planets and my ankles and calves are tender in general and I have noticed that..Thanks again.. IP: Logged |
