I'm eating these right now for the first time. They are delectable! Morning Star Farms Veggie Bites Country Scramble MorningStar Farms manufactures a wide variety of tasty treats for you to try and a nice selection of vegetarian foods worth sinking your teeth into. Rather than the usual eggs and bacon for breakfast, why not try substituting that for Country Scramble Veggie Bites? When I first noticed Country Scramble Veggie Bites by MorningStar Farms I had to investigate further. Even though I am not a vegetarian, I do love to substitute approximately 90% of my meals with vegetarian alternatives by including soya products, beans, pulses, fruit and vegetables and other staples in my diet. I liked the photo of the product on the front of the packaging. The price was also reasonable at $2.80 for a 255g (9oz) pack of Country Scramble Veggie Bites. It wasn't until some time had passed before I remembered I had even bought this product. But one day my husband asked me what I wanted for dinner that evening. I then had a look in the freezer and remembered the Country Scramble Veggie Bites by MorningStar Farms. I told him that I wanted a salad as well as a portion of the Country Scramble Veggie Bites. He wondered why I would want a "breakfast" item for dinner. But I told him that it did not matter and I quite liked the idea of eating it later in the day. I was impressed with how quickly this product was prepared. It takes up to 90 seconds to heat 3 Country Scramble Veggie Bites in the microwave on a high setting. Check to see if they are cooked all the way through before serving. As I bit into the first Country Scramble Veggie Bite I was not really sure what to make of it. I could not make out any particular ingredients. I continued to eat the rest of them and found that it was fairly tasty. As I looked over the ingredients used to make Country Scramble Veggie Bites, the packaging stated that egg whites, veggie sausage, red and green peppers, onions and cheddar cheese were used and then wrapped in a multi-grain breading. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/605331/country_scramble_veggie_bites_by_morningstar.html IP: Logged |

Gluten Free Dreams makes some really fantastic mixes for pancackes, cookies and other products that usually contain wheat. They are kind of pricey, but worth it for the taste factor... some other gluten free stuff is often crumbly or too hard, without much resemblance to what it would taste like with wheat flour. Also, Amy's Kitchen makes a pretty fine gluten free pizza! It is made with a rice crust, not exactly like the real thing, but if you season it a bit with seasoned salt or garlic infused seasoning, it's soooo good!! IP: Logged |
