A very good friend of mine's son is very ill. His throat was so swollen he could barely breathe. He's extremely tired and his fever is so high, my friend said he's just sweating BULLETS. He's been tested for strep and mono; he has neither.
Anyone have any ideas of what this could be???

I told him to keep him off solid foods, unless it is fruits or vegtables. (Fruit for detox, veggies to rebuild..) I suggested water with fresh lemon juice and cayenne pepper to detox and absolutely NO dairy. I suggested detox baths and chlorella and spirunella.
Anyone else?
What do you guys think? I'm trying to get him to give more symptoms soon.

I asked him for more symptoms, but that's all my friend knew of.

Quinsy.
A not very common and kind of outdated illness but still around. Horrendous sore throat that practically closes it swells so much.
Mumps?

Quinsy is also known as a peritonsillar abcess and it requires prompt medical treatment. See the doc just incase.

If his throat is that swollen, he MUST see a doctor for treatment asap.

Yes, he went to the doctor a day or two ago and he's going again tomorrow.
