What Is It?Colloidal Silver is a pure all-natural substance consisting of sub-microscopic clusters of silver, held in suspension of pure ionized water by a tiny electric charge placed on each particle.

What does it do? Colloidal Silver is a powerful, natural antibiotic. It is the most usable form and the most effective disease, germ, virus and fungal killers known. It has been found to be both a remedy and a prevention for colds, flu, all infections and all fermentation due to any bacteria, fungus or virus, especially staph. and strep. which are often found in diseased conditions. It has been reported to rapidly subdue inflammation and promote faster healing. The body needs Colloidal Silver to fight disease causing organisms and to aid healing. Taken daily, Colloidal Silver provides a second immune system resulting in more energy, vitality, vigor, relaxation, faster healing and reduced bodily toxins. An artificial antibiotic kills, on an average, 6 different disease organisms, but Colloidal Silver is known to kill over 650 diseases without any known harmful side effects or toxicity.

Silver in our bodies? We get silver and all minerals in our bodies through the food we eat. This comes directly from organic soil. This soil is rich in living organisms. These organisms break down the soil so plants are provided minerals in a form assimilable to the plant. Hence, we get silver naturally from the minerals present in organically grown plants. If we eat plants that have been grown on chemical fertilizers, as most plants are grown today, without living organisms in the soil to help provide nutrition to the plant, we do not get the quantity of vitamins and minerals which are available in organically grown foods. Deficiencies develop. As the tissues age, or if we cannot assimilate silver for some reason, we develop a silver deficiency and an impained immune system that can lead to cancer and other diseases. Some suspect a silver deficiency is possibly one of the main reasons cancer exists and is increasing at such a rapid rate today. What is the history of colloidal silver? The uses of Colloidal Silver go on and on in medical journal reports. It was widely used 60 to 70 years ago when, among other reasons, the cost became prohibitive - about $100 per ounce in 1930 dollars. Colloidal Silver is a redevelopment of an earlier, more crude product that was first used in the early 1900's. It is now produced in a multi-million dollar facility at a much higher quality, at a fraction of the cost.

What are the key characteristics? Colloidal Silver is non-toxic, non-addictive and has no known side effects. The body develops no tolerance and one cannot overdose. Colloidal Silver cannot cause harm to liver, kidneys, organs or any part of the body. It is safe for pregnant and nursing women and evens aids the developing fetus in growth and health, as well as easing the mother's delivery and recovery. Colloidal Silver is odorless, tasteless, non-stinging, harmless to eyes, contains no free radicals, is harmless to human enzymes and has no reaction with other medications. It improves digestion, causes rapid regeneration of damaged cells and tissues, helps prevent colds, flu and all organism-caused diseases.

Has it been medically tested? Yes! Colloidal Silver has been successfully tested at the UCLA Medical Labs where it killed every virus on which it was tested.

What does the FDA say? According to the FDA, Colloidal Silver may continue to be marketed and used as it was originally intended. Colloidal Silver exceeds FDA recognized standards (Sep.13 1991 letter written by Consumer Safety Officer, Harold Davies, U.S. Food & Drug Admin.). FDA has no jurisdiction regarding a pure, mineral element.

Argyria

This was the only concern we had regarding the use of Colloidal Silver and perhaps the most important point you should research. In fact, we horrified when we first came across "Rosemary's story" (See below) and spent a great deal of time researching the following articles. If you want a quick overview, read this article here.

Note:- Everyone who has a site that is selling something, including us, have a vested interest in calming your fears regarding Argyria but you should retain your right to be sceptical and if you are concerned, read the information below.

Important point: We are fortunate to have free health care in the UK but this is not the case in many other countries, especially the USA, where medical care is extremely expensive. As a consequence, there is a flourishing alternative medicinal industry, as people try and find a cheaper solution to their problems. It is estimated that for every dollar spent on conventional health care, there is an additional dollar spent on alternative products, which is a considerable amount of money. This raises several questions which are answered in the articles below but I do not want to get involved in the political and moral implications that they raise although the repercussions do affect us. If you are interested in researching this line of thought, then the Bolen Reports in the Quackwatch section above is a good start.
Possible Causes
1 Use of silver salts such as silver nitrate (Ag NO3), silver chloride (Ag Cl), silver powder and silver proteins (MSP - Mild Silver Protein or CSP - Colloidal Silver Protein/Preparation). None of these products are truly Colloidal Silver but are compounds of silver, with dramatically different chemical characteristics. Refer to FAQ's for a true definition of Colloidal Silver. 2 Excessive use of highly concentrated (and hence large particle size) Colloidal Silver - drinking cupful's per day.
3 Badly made Colloidal Silver - Used making tap water, salt and poor voltage/current control (Batteries), lack of quality control, excessive concentrations, etc.

Over the years I have seen many articles condemning Colloidal Silver because it causes Argyria. When I looked closely at these articles, they refer to people who have used silver salts or proteins but still refer to it as Colloidal Silver. This is untrue and misleading.

There are two major cases** of Argyria easily found on the Internet and they are Rosemary Jacob's and Stan Jones. Rosemary was most likely prescribed a silver salt, possibly silver nitrate. She has a damning website but it is nothing to do with Colloidal Silver. She is obviously very bitter about what has happened to her & as a result, she blames all Silver products.

Remember the chemical & physical properties of any compound are radically different from the elements they are comprised off.

Elemental silver has unique properties but when in a compound, these properties change. Take two examples. Hydrogen is highly flammable & Oxygen can cause explosive fires and both are used in rocket engines as fuel. But as a compound they make water! Sodium is a soft, highly reactive metal & chlorine is a highly poisonous gas but as a compound, we have common table salt !
