Sunchild, if you see this, and no one has replied, you can delete it. I was under the impression that there were a lot of vegans and & vegetarians here, but I guess not. Thanks.

Not yet, but getting there. Still eating fish occasionally. Slow and steady seems to work best for me.

Thank you for remembering (((Unmoved))
I feel very important

I am loose with it, though. If I want something else, I have it but I like raw, vegan ,the best.

Not eating red meat and chicken for 8 years and a vegetarian for 3 years. If someone asked me what the best decision I ever made in my life is, I would say, vegetarianism!!! One day I'll be a vegan, when the time is ready...

Ok, I just need to vent *sigh*

A fish is an animal. A fish is not a vegetable. I am so tired of people assuming I eat fish when I tell them I am vegetarian.

We don't have carrots and celeries swimming in the ocean.

Super Yummy!

The dairy industry kills animals too because cows have to give birth every year to maintain milk supply....the surplus cows are then taken away from the mother at a few days old and sent off for slaughter.

Soya contains enzyme inhibitors which are very bad for the stomach and block absorption of essential nutrients, and estrogen which can be bad for men.

I like the idea of being vegetarian, but at the same time I don't see that it can affect any huge changes in the world unless we can transform the entire eco system itself and an end to mortality.

In my experience people who become veggie/ vegan, including myself, end up believing they are somehow better than other people...it appears, in my opinion (no offense to anyone intended) that it is similar to religion, in as much it was brought about to encourage compassion but ended up causing division instead....or at least I have seen some of it in the animal right's movement, not necessarily vegetarianism.

Listens and everyone else,

The thing that bothers me the most, is people, who when they see animal cruelty to domestic animals, and say "how terrible, cruel, horrible and mean!" (ex: dogs and cats)

But then they are the ones who are eating cows, pigs, and chickens. Are they blind to the fact of what their food is? Are they blind to the fact of how their meal came to be on their plate? This is what really bothers me.

A lot of people tell me they "are too sensitive" to look at a picture of an injured dog or cat but they have no issue with eating animals. Too sensitive? Really?

I totally agree Nephthys.

We cannot call ourselves animal lovers if our love for animals includes cats, dogs etc but excludes sheep, pigs and cows.
