No what I was thinking about accident is, see I do martial arts and the day/night it started we did partner drills, so maybe it wasn't anything concious.

Yes Yrone. Thats exactly what i am traying to tell you. That, it just happened. These things happen without our knowledge or 'conscious' effort due to past karmas. So, the time was ripe.

If you are feeling exasperated with it, take a proper persons guidance. The sites that mochai has mentioned could be useful to give you some insight into it. All the best!

Nope, I am not feeling exasperated at all. Not with the Kundalini or whatever the energy is at any rate. Just trying to understand.

And I don't want to accidentally trigger stuff in other people by not being educated /shrug.

Hello Ami,
Kundalini yoga is the modern term for the misunderstanding of the term LAYA YOGA.
If valid,
it is dangerous to do as described. There are simpler and safer methods.
Particularly, this kundalini yoga is known to be ill-reputed.
Here is what Krl-jung says about it....
"One often hears and reads about the dangers of Yoga, particularly of the ill-reputed Kundalini Yoga. The deliberately induced psychotic state, which in certain unstable individuals might easily lead to a real psychosis, is a danger that needs to be taken very seriously indeed. These things really are dangerous and ought not to be meddled with in our typically Western way. It is a meddling with Fate, which strikes at the very roots of human existence and can let loose a flood of sufferings of which no sane person ever dreamed. These sufferings correspond to the hellish torments of the chönyid state..." C. G. Jung, Introduction to The Tibetan book of the Dead *

So to say you will see that the purpose of yoga is not physical exercise but a path to spiritual "awakening" and "enlightenment" through union with the "divine."

It should not be pursued by amybody just like that
It is a Mastery of an art which has to be done only under the supervision of a very experienced guru otherwise the consequences can be quite perilious.
It is the ultimate path to merge with the divine it cannot be acquired the easy way.
One is not supposed to make a mish-mash out of it.
It has to be observed with a strict set of rules adhered to, incuding DIET.You have to master the art of remaining a compele CELIBATE to reap the full results of Kundalini Yoga.
So please be careful...whatever you do.
I advice, not do it all by yourself at home.
Its like playing with FIRE!

This is interesting-

Fine ami...If you feel okay with it.
But I would stress on this- "There is probably no problem with these methods for beginners, but various reports indicate problems may result from continued over-stimulation of the brain."
It is not in the initial stages that you will come across its implications but once your kundalini starts to partially open up.
The question is not about sanity but rather about the side effects of not following the strict regime prior to starting it.
Trust that helps and wishing you Good Health and luck.

Bump

Good timing for exploring kundalini yoga, as kundalini asteroid kaali 4227 is in transit at 0 degrees Aries now.

Everyone has different stretch limit, plus you're training under a teacher Ami. It's not safe for novices, trust me it's been a havoc for me just cause I was trying to be smart with it. I don't even want to try and jot down the experiences it projected me to. I had to cut from any sort of psychic activity for 2 months. Anyways, cause you most definitely seem like a sane person, don't take this as a fun thing, you don't know the power of Kundalini if awakened otherwise ( even I don't know for that instance but my teacher (guru) who is a very siddha ( enlightened person) in himself showed me a red flag when I asked him to teach me, only the true teachers can tell you where down the lanes an awakened Kundalini can lead you ..)..

And for anyone, Kundalini shouldn't be played with learning from net or videos. It corresponds to Kaali and I've Kaali conjunct NN so my Kundalini tries to awake on it's own all the time which I don't want at any cost but I don't even know how to control this……

It's all this not so simple for us human's to play with, there's a reason for everything, there're psychic invaders, distant telekinesis, and what not to harm you.

Plus do you know you've a natural psychic shield which depletes in a poor way if your Kundalini is awakened via a wrong process illumining you to the other world, and they may try to invade you or interact with you, can you handle this?? No normal human instantly, that's why people go mad because no one understands their condition..

To the gist, please don't take this thing as fun, there is a reason we need guru ( teacher )…there is no such thing as internet guru ( because Kundalini is not literature or mathematics…) unless you're that accomplished to handle things or protect your disciples from a distance. A guru is very responsible person, who is all entitled to protect and teach the students.

Plus true everyone has a conscious decision to make, but I entreat you not to be a part of something that may mislead (which is always an option..) someone..And just because someone awakens it in the right way doesn't mean everyone else will..it's not worth trying when it risks your sanity or life.

Sorry if this post seems like a downer but I just came in as a warning..please guys don't take everything so lightly because when things turn out wrong you only keep asking "WHY" ten thousand times…
Loving light to everyone…

In the right manner it's supposed to be activated by 'Sushumna' but I had it awakened via 'Ida'..and God I and nightmares…

I don't agree. I have been doing it for many years, perhaps 6-7.

I can do the dog pant breath for about 20 minutes non stop.

I have had no problems.
