I need to talk this out somewhere and since no one outside of my husband and I know we are open to the possible conception of a child (yes, my Virgo wordiness is kicking in), as in we are NO longer using birth control *and* having sex frequently in the last 2.5 weeks, added to the fact that we've never had sex without protection during the entire time we've been intimate (5 years), we have no idea how fertile we are...

Keep in mind, I was conceived from just ONE act between my parents, and my grandmother quite easily conceived 6 children (miscarrying only the last two), so I am a little nervous that I might get pregnant easily. We are both excited about the possibility of a baby in the very near future, but my allergies just kicked into full gear and I am afraid to take meds without knowing that which can't even be known yet. I would usually grab the Claratin, Benedryl, and Echinechea if I am desperate, but I can't.

I've had absolutely no appetite for over a week (extremely rare for me), weird vivid dreams the last two nights, allergies coming back out of nowhere after they mysteriously vanished for nearly 3 weeks (including wedding week and they have always tended to get worse with stress and believe me I was stressed), and I don't know, I just have a feeling...

I can't test or anything for at least another week, and I'm scared to get attached to an outcome, being so darn realistic sometimes.

Thanks for letting me vent and I would appreciate any feedback

Oooh sounds lovely!!! And yes there's a high possibility that pregnancy can occur without much 'trying'... just be free with your love making and if it's meant to be then you'll conceive. Also, my allergies always came back within the first few weeks of pregnancy, my glands were always up too in the first stage, I don't want to say that you are but they are very telling symptoms you have. It is really difficult to avoid experiencing a little emotional roller coaster in the conception process. So give yourself permission to feel, in the sense that I find it better than trying to stay detached... it's so much more free, human and fulfilling to feel everything and allowing yourself to. So don't be scared. And you are very wise to stay away from meds! Keep us updated and feel free to vent anytime!

Thanks, SunChild I really appreciate your support, and you're right, I do have to give myself permission to feel excitement, a little nervousness, and just joyful too because I know my husband will make an awesome dad. I started taking Rainbow Light's Prenatal One vitamins just in case yesterday, and my gut does say stay away from meds, though I'll have to make do with a nice ice cold compress on my forehead and eyes. I really admire your openness on LL with your pregnancy experiences so far, and your natural attitude to childbirth. It's nice to hear from another woman who doesn't see the birthing of a child as a reason to seek excessive medical intervention. My mom had a quick labor with me, as in she went to her 1pm Dr visit, and when she got there, they told her to go straight to the hospital. I was born at 8:30pm that same night I see a joyful, smooth, safe birth in my future, whenever the time is right.

Thanks for encouraging my venting

Thanks, Lexx

I'm feeling these weird "flushes" of warmth to my face today, and combined with minimal sleep due to crazy allergies last night, just overall sluggish I just want to curl up in bed and sleep, but then I won't be able to tonight....bah.

Allergies are not so bad, and just feel bloated and gassy (burping as well). I usually turn to herbal teas, but not sure what info to trust. Any ideas? Burping is loud and I feel constant pressure under my diaphragm. Never had burping this bad before, even persisted during a Restorative Yoga class, which surprised my mom, as yoga always calms by body down, whether I am sneezing, nose dripping, or just tense. It comes at all times of day I am eating really healthy...::shrugs::

Still exhausted and still having vivid dreams, that is not typical as I do feel like I am resting at night, though did wake up at 1:30am with terrible "garlic-tasting" heartburn two nights ago...

Promised myself I would not "test" until one week from today, as my period has been *really** regular since I got off hormonal BC nearly two years ago, and it is due around next Wednesday. Thinking happy thoughts, and still want to wait to tell family til end of first trimester if we are, but not sure I could keep my (Scorpio/3 planet Sag) mother in the dark that long, LOL She senses things, and doesn't keep news to herself too well, just unwittingly shares things because she has the need to share, and "think aloud" so to speak. So time will tell, and either way, we are open for our family to grow, just gotta trust the Divine Timing....

Yeah, don't stress. The baby will be born at the right time, so it must be conceived accordingly.

Stress isn't good. It will happen.

I know it will happen, I just don't do well with the waiting and not knowing...maybe an Aries Rising thing or a Virgo cause I don't have "all the information", LOL. My husband is pretty convinced that I am, and I am totally *not* getting my typical PMS moodiness and cravings for chocolate...three more days at least to check.

Now just craving extra salt on everything for the last 4-5 days, even adding salt to pizza and cheese bread. It makes no sense, as I've been able to turn down sweets, which has been my life-long weakness and near obsession. Weird, just weird.

Took test, and it's negative...resuming normal activities like drinking alcohol with dinner. I am still having awful burping and it likes to come at random times, whether I've eaten or not. Still very sluggish so I'll go to the DR cause something must be wrong with me. I feel too uncomfortable and exhausted to put up with this junk from my body. Period is one day late but could be from stress. I'll whip mu body back into line

Ok, three days past the time my period would typically show up and yeah, it's not here...hmmm. I'm waiting til it's a week past before testing again. Still having the gas/burping thing, which makes me less than happy, but ah well. We shall see...My skin is totally clear, and never did get the usual PMS blemishes this month. Having a funny feeling we succeeded, just need to wait it out.

Yes wait a little longer if your period doesn't show to test again, give the HcG levels a chance to rise if that's the case. And remember a faint line is a line no matter how invisible it appears (so early.)
So you think you've succeeded? I kind of want to show my excitement for you but not too much until the confirmation, so I'll hold back....

Much Love!

Thanks for the subdued excitement....that is exactly what I am feeling, LOL! I've never had my period stay away this long, not even from stress, and my salt craving continues...( everything tastes better with SALT) We used dollar store tests last time, so I'm thinking next Tuesday we will break down and get a more sensitive/expensive one I ALWAYS have cramps with my period, pretty strong ones the first two days, and not even a whimper of those either. My husband has been convinced from the first weird little symptoms and he knows me and my body's habits so well I mostly believe him, though as a Virgo, I need proof... I will share further news as soon as I have confirmation!

I swear I'm going crazy...5 days since period was supposed to show up, and this morning, after some "fun", I had I guess what they call spotting, but it was nothing like my period has ever been, just a little mess on sheets after said "fun", and a little red blood when I wiped (I know, TMI).

I honestly don't know what to think at this point... ::shrugs::

3:08PM

I have to assume it's normal cause it went away as quick as it happened...no longer panicking

ah I see... well either it's your period being a weirdo, or it's implantation bleeding (YAY), more TMI... blood may be produced and sit around your cervix and some may not notice the bleeding, but when you 'play' it loosens it from the cervix sometimes and you'll notice it in spotting. probably wont happen again though.

Sunchild,

So if it's "implantation bleeding", wouldn't that mean I didn't calculate my fertile time right, as in it wasn't the exact halfway point in cycle? And would that explain why testing earlier didn't show any solid results?

And more TMI, it was bright red when it first came out of me; would that still fall into the same category, as I'm reading it should normally be darker?

I'm pretty freakin' miserable at the moment...I don't know what is going on with me and I am in quite a bit of pain

I have an appointment with a doctor tomorrow cause I've had sporadic light bleeding for the past two days, plus lovely pulsing pain in the mid-pelvic area with off and on cramping feeling. I am a little scared. Happy thoughts are appreciated...
