Anybody?Tell me about it. This girl seems to know what she's talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C58kwA_snKs&feature=related I would like to go 1/4 - 1/2 inch and have a pretty plug in there, not a tunnel though (unless it's that pretty rainbow one I just posted), i don't think I'd go too big. People say "what about if you remove the jewellery and have big holes in your ears, horrors!", I'm pretty sure many have thought about that, and the idea is to have pretty jewellery in there...so.... I do like this style and size

I know it's a bit painful. I think it looks good until you start hitting the huge sizes and people look like they're carrying weights in their ears.IP: Logged |

Apparently if you take your time and do it right there should be no pain associated with stretching. IP: Logged |

I likie the spirals too. I just got my frist set of tapers, starting as soon as my matching jewellery arrives. I found out my sister tried it but failed because she jammed in something to big to begin with. I'm a patient person after having three pregnancies so this should be a fun experience. IP: Logged |

An impulse, a well thought-out one.I've always been into body-mod since the age of 16, but then my ex for many years did not let me do anything beyond an earing, and when I got my tattoos and extra piercing I would be in soo much trouble. But now that I married to someone who is an equal and not my boss, I can now body-mod all I like, to me it's art, and like art, patience and knowing when to stop is key! I've had this impulse all my life, but I didn't do much except get my nose pierced while I was pregnant. I like the feel of stretching, as I have already started it. I love the look of stretched ears, where as many people do not find it attractive, but for some reason I do! It's the process that is enjoyable and not getting to a certain size, you stretch a bigger size as you feel ready to. What else can I say? Probably a lot. IP: Logged |

I have 12 Gauge in! (normal pierced ears are 18-20g) 14 went in too easy so Im starting at 12. I felt pressure at first now I feel nothing. But i"m going to wait the 4 weeks until I stretch again.Just ordered some 10 Gauge tunnels. can't wait til they go in, my first goal size is 2 Gauge. (as the Gauges get smaller in number they are bigger in size) IP: Logged |

10g in.Only waited 10 days in between that stretch. Surprisingly it didn't hurt at all... that's why I went to the next size, they felt ready. I am just going by the way they feel, if it doesn't hurt then it's fine... if it hurts it's your body telling you to.. wait longer. I'm keeping a photo log on flickr. Be careful and make sure you really want to do it!Gauges, well, stink, really smell bad after a while. My (in the know) grown kids tell me the larger the gauge, the smellier they are. t~ IP: Logged |

I think the odor is from jewelry being in for so long and not being changed. Bacteria builds up and voila!I keep my cartilage clean cause I dont like to change it. My youngest says she could smell her nose piercing when she had it. IP: Logged |

I wash all my piercings in the shower, daily. Lol hippi it's true. I even take some out and I would also wash my plugs because I've heard the same thing about it. I don't plan on going past 00g though. I go against the advice not to use alcohol sprays, I spray my belly, nose, ears it kills bacteria and I only wear surgical steel. I hear acrylic on the body is the stinkiest- like Parmesan cheese *yuckIP: Logged |

Well it's time for an update:I am in an ear stretching community, and this was my recent post was to justify my latest stretch. Oh... yes I did!! Why? I was just testing to see how easy the 3mm (8g) taper would go into my ear, if there was any pain I would not force it. Well it slipped right through, what'ya know! Should I have gone and put an 8g Tunnel in there? Probably not. I realise I am going against all good advice to wait at least a month, but after 2 weeks my holes were so stretchy, no resistance no pain. Will I try again in 2 weeks and stretch again? NO. " I don't believe you! " I know you think i'm a contradicting myself when I said i'm willing to wait and i'm patient, that is still true however this seemed like the right thing to do for myself! I wouldn't recommend anyone do it that fast cos not many people can without pain. So don't do what I do. The MAIN reason why I will wait is because I just received some beautiful rhodonite Saddel plugs 3mm in the mail and I plan on wearing them for ages and it's healthier to wait and to love your lobes. Love them. IP: Logged |
