Has anyone here ever used magnets to treat dis-ease? I found a magnetized bracelet at the college and put it on. The next day, my blood pressure was normal! It can't be placebo effect, because I had no expectations. Supposedly, the magnetism enters the radial artery through the wrist and circulates throughout the body. All I know is it worked for me.

I use them for headaches and foot pain.
Yes, they seem to help.
I have a magnetized headband and magnetic shoe inserts.

They apparently also work for morning sickness - many pregnant women swear by them.
I was skeptical (to say the least), so I never shelled out the cash.

Apparently the quality of the magnet can make a difference. I have tried those magnets you use for helping with female monthly pain and they didn't seem to work for me. Perhaps I had high expectations though. I mean you read the leaflet on those things and you end up expecting being cured from every ailment! So I did have expectations!

Randall, I am curious: which brand did you use? I'd like to look for good ones for my mom if they really work.

I can't explain the physics of it but given that we do have a magnetic field around us (even our cells are built from atoms that form magnetic fields with each other), it's no surprise that magnet therapy works.
I'm interested in the details of how since I'm not sure what they align our magnetic fields to. Is there one particular way that is considered to be the "right" way when it comes to the magnetic field of each human? How does magn. therapy finds out what that is and hits for mark for each of us?
Of course if this is not scientific, I can speculate that magn. therapy just brings magnets to magnetize our auras in no specific ways and so it works for some people and doesn't work for others with no consistent results.
On the other hand, therapies like Reiki have no mechanics/physics, yet they work. You know the energy is working and you accept it as working the way it should just by virtue of the results. Nobody tried to analyze or explain how Reiki works. Of course Reiki uses no magnets, so the worst that can happen if it doesn't work is just zero results. I don't know if I want to trust any magnets near me though until I know what exactly they are doing to me.

I found it on the floor at the college. It's just a cool bracelet made up of a lot of little balls that stick together. I wore it for aesthetic purposes only, but when I checked my blood pressure, it was low (so no placebo affect). Research says it should be worn on the right wrist for blood pressure (something about the right radial artery).

I had been wearing it on my right wrist all week, and my blood pressure was high normal. I must be wired backwards. When I found it, I put it on my left wrist, and it was low. I switched back to my left wrist, and it is now 118/83. Or maybe I misread something on the Net. What I read said for high bp to wear it on the right wrist and for low on the left. Maybe they meant to create high or low!

I'm a BIG fan of magnet therapy. I wish I could afford this one, but at £90 I'm still saving.
http://www.idealworld.tv/_201535.aspx

I drink magnetised water, I have a huge magnet donut with velcro straps around a 2litre bottle and keep in fridge.

Magnet bracelets are ok IF you have arthritis in that wrist..

I also have a knee support full of magnets, which I think really helps my arthritis

"The Magneton is truly a revolutionary tool in repairing soft tissue and relaxing stiff joints. Both in humans and your animals.

The unit activates and stimulates the vibrational capacity of the cell. Results can be immediate.

Due to the depth of actual magnetic field penetration – up to 20 inches - it is not necessary to touch the injured area. If there is severe sensitivity, for example burns or bruising, simply move The Magneton in gently sweeping motion over the entire area a few inches above the skin The effect will be the same as when you actually touch the area. Again, if working with a nervous person or skittish animal – work on them in this way. Even without the vibrational massaging touch, it is just as effective a session.

KEY POINTS: IN USING THE MAGNETON
•A BETTER WAY TO OBTAIN PAIN RELIEF

•SIGNIFICANT RESULTS MAY BEEN SEEN FOLLOWING ONE TREATMENT

•A TREATMENT LASTS 5 MINUTES.

•SPEEDS RECOVERY AND REPAIR, including broken bones and ulcerations.

•INCREASES BLOOD FLOW

•PROMOTES HEALING

•EASES A RANGE OF COMMON AILMENTS.

•INCREASES ENERGY TO THE SITE OF INJURY.

•INCREASED ENERGY - HELPS THE CELLS TO READ THEIR OWN RECOVERY BLUEPRINT MORE EFFECTIVELY.
•SAFE & NATURAL
•NON-INVASIVE
•DRUG-FREE THERAPY
•Now Delivers the antibacterial and warming effects of Photon Platinum (infrared – light energy). " http://www.vergarimagnettherapy.co.uk/The-Magneton.html

the above seems good for information on what it can do...

I'm looking into pulsed magnetic
http://www.electronichealing.co.uk/products/magnetic_pulser.htm

Through the principle of induction, this magnetic field creates eddy-currents (tiny electrical micro-currents) in living organic material that contain an electrolyte such as saline. Designed to be used with The Silver Pulser or independently. Targets specific areas.

The purpose of the Magnetic Pulser is to put back into circulation microbes which do not flow through the blood. These are microbes which are "hiding" in the lymph nodes, stomach, or other places in the body.

Because this device is a portable magnetic device it can safely be pointed at any part of your body, with a few exceptions (e.g. testicles or eyes, if you have had eye surgery).

The purpose of the magnetic pulser is to create a small electrical current in the body tissues which will liquify the lymph and dislodge microbes from their hiding places. Since the magnetic field penetrates the skin and bones, it can reach microbes anywhere in your body. Its range is about 9 to 12 inches, but it should always be placed just above the skin or on the skin.

The Magnetic Pulser is applied to the following areas:

The organs, especially the stomach, should also be pulsed.

Second, are any areas of the body where there is inflammation, swelling or congestion. This is a very good anti-inflammatory device; and for a cancer patient, there are likely to be a lot of microbes and/or cancer cells in those kinds of areas.

Third, are any areas of known cancer cells, and especially areas where there are dense concentrations of cancer cells.

Fourth, the liver. The liver is the organ in the body most responsible for getting toxins out of the body.

One thing a person should do who is on a strong cancer treatment or this treatment is point the magnetic pulser directly at their liver for a few minutes every day. This should be done to stimulate and protect the liver.

Pulsed magnetic therapy influence cells of an organism. The influence of pulsed magnetic therapy on the human body is clinically established to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic and antiodemic effects. Pulsed magnetic therapy improves circulation, accelerates tissue regeneration and provides a regulatory effect on the nervous system.

anon, try overstock or billythetree.

Good prices there. Don't forget to get the right size! I had to return the one I got for my dad because it was too small. And I think the higher the gauss the better. The ones I got for my parents are 3000 gauss per magnet.

It seems to help tension/migraine headaches and deep foot neuralgia.
A heavy 3 pound hardware type (is rubber coated and has a handle, looks like a small iron)
set upon chest and or back helps lessen pain there a bit.

Yeah they do.

Billythetree does global shipping and Overstock has expanded enough to ship to most of Europe!

I like Billythetree for magnet bracelets though. They have more magnets (and higher gauss), designs, and sizes.

Good luck!

Alternative Health Therapy that's Easy to Use

The Magnetic Pulser by Sota Instruments is a pulsed magnetic field generator that is professionally designed, thoroughly tested and guaranteed to operate as per the specifications in Dr. Bob Beck's research. The Magnetic Pulser (MPG 5) is designed to generate a powerful (~6,000 Gauss) rapidly pulsed (~2.5mS) magnetic field. This operates under a different principle than products using permanent magnets that have a steady, unchanging magnetic field (such as magnetic mattress pads and related products). The Magnetic Pulser is part of the Bob Beck Protocol that also includes our Silver Pulser and Water Ozonator.

Localized Pain Relief with Pulsed Magnetic Therapy

Through the principle of induction, this magnetic field creates tiny electrical micro-currents in living organic materials that contain an electrolyte such as saline. The Magnetic Pulser requires no direct physical contact, but the effect is increased by direct contact. The rapid ON and OFF pulse of the Magnetic Pulser produces frequency harmonics and moves charged particles in fluids.
This is ideal for dealing with constrictions and blockages, such as lymphatic issues, etc. The rounded applicator head contains a large copper coil that produces a strong and deeply penetrating magnetic field.

Unlike a number of other frequency generators in our catalog, the MPG is not designed to affect the entire body at one time; instead, the round applicator coil is used to target specific local areas such as muscles, bones, lymph glands and internal organs. Pet owners especially appreciate the magnetic pulser's non-invasive applicator. There is never any sensation or electrical shock when using the magnetic pulser. The applicator head is clearly marked for positive and negative polarities. The side of the applicator displaying the Sota Instruments logo is positive polarity and the opposite side is labeled as negative North Pole. In most cases, the negative North polarity is suggested as it is a constricting or confining energy, whereas the positive polarity is said to stimulate activity and growth.

Hmmm...we have some sort of magnetic (I think it's hematite that's somehow been magnetized, but I could be wrong) bracelet around here somewhere in a box. I think I'll try it on. Although I don't need any help lowering my blood pressure.

<Edit>
Nope, it's not a bracelet unfortunately, just magnetic hematite. I wonder what I'm supposed to do with it? It's just a bunch of hematite stones that stick together... Hm.

That would help a lot of things by improving the blood. Maybe put them in a small bag and carry with you.

How funny, they came in a little pouch. I tried putting them in my slippers like I did my purple disk, but it didn't have quite the same effect.

They are, however, very powerful.
