T, if you can make a drink, you can brew kombucha. It's VERY easy and you can't really screw it up as long as you have the scoby. See the recipe I posted above. IP: Logged |

Cool, Yin. Thanks I had heard of the importance of making it in an very sterile environment and storing it in sterile glass. & not to let it come into contact with metal. Just found this link with some info: http://www.crazyfortea.com/kombuchadanger.html It sounds like something fun to do, but I think I'll stick to my favorite Gingerberry one. IP: Logged |

OK...person's allergic to various fungi or molds should not drink Kombucha in my opinion. That is probably why it made me sick. It is like folks going on about how natural cotton cloth is good for folks. No it is not if one is allergic to cotton. Natural does not always mean good for everyone. And Kombucha is not right for all either. Same for Chamomile or peanuts.....both can kill some folks.------------------ NumeroLexigrams ~I remember, therefore I am immortal ~Lexxigramer IP: Logged |

Yes, some docs are very much against introducing fungi into your system. Kombucha does nothing for me health-wise. I generally don't like carbonated drinks anyway but you know the old saying... To each their own. IP: Logged |

Any organic black or green tea works, Amy.

Amy, If you have tummy troubles, you may want to try my absolute favorite remedy - Pudin Hara. There is nothing like it out there. It's a blend of oils, mainly - peppermint oil. http://amzn.com/B001TJMZ18 I buy the above bottle - it ships from India so it takes some time to arrive but it's so worth it. IP: Logged |
