When do you go to sleep? If getting up at 4 AM is not enough then can you go to sleep earlier. And some self suggestion would also help. Just before going to sleep. It works with me. Have you ever tried it?

You are singin to the choir here.

I have never, ever, slept an entire night, not in 51 years!

So, so many things could be at play here:

changes in your life: Diet
new meds
stressful issues
alcohol
(any abrupt changes in your life)

hormones?

environment? is it hotter or colder, brighter or darker?

spiritual changes: 4am is the traditional "witching hour" it is quite natural for women, if you are a woman, to wake at this hour.

something from the other side? trying to communicate with you?

have you had a check up with a doc? perhaps there is something medical going on?

a stressful planetary transit?

gosh the list goes on and on.

as for remidies: I adore warm milk and honey, so, so relaxing, A quality stress tab supplement (I like Shaklee brand), melatonin, but it can give you quite the hangover, you really have to experiment with doseage and it should not be used every night. A nice glass of red wine is good as well, tho alcohol messes with your REM sleep, so ONE glass only.

Try meditation as well, for answers to your sleep problems and general relaxation.

best of luck, and blessings!!!

No, I haven't heard of self suggestion please share what it involves?

hippichik
wow that is quite a list of things
I have tried meditation and yoga and it helped for a week or so the slightest stress seems to throw my sleep out again.
I even tried 2 sleeping tablets but would you believe I still didn't manage to sleep through !!
