I had to change doctors when I got a different job and changed insurances.

The first I didnt like.

The second I really liked, she was thorough, kind and she is my brother's sis in law.

Yesterday I had my follow up.

I got in alot of trouble....

I thought I was doing well, weaning myself off the nasty heart medication that made me an unmovable slug, blood pressure was awesome, but my heart rate was way fast (I got lost and traffic...but she wouldnt hear of it.) Cleaning up my act with diet, supplements etc.

She didnt care about my liver enzymes at all!!!

"get your heart rate down and loosse weight."

(coming from a skiny, tiny Viet Nameese lady)

Then I mention PTSD, so she doubles my Lexapro. Asks me if I sleep, "no, never have" she puts me on a benzo.

Can I have wine, I ask,, yes, she says ONE glass of red wine a night with my benzo...

WHAT?

I have done so much to try to improve my self, my health, my liver and I get put on pills I dont want to be on?

uggggggggg!!!

thanks for reading

t~

It can be so tough changing doctors

I lost my favorite doc ever when we moved from my insurance to my husband's.
She listened and was awesome.

Are you going to look for another?

Reminds me of my doc who wanted to give me meds for expressing my nostalgia. Needless to say, I ditched the ***** .

Sorry it happened to you, hippi. ♥

Sounds like the same crap doctors do to me.
Not going to elaborate on your thread, but might start my own about how doctors do not look at everything; they just pigeonhole people by looks and then miss too often what is more/most important.
Sorry you are having to go through this nonsense.{{{ hugs}}}
Where is "Dr.House" when we need him?

Thanks you all.

Going to keep her for a while.

I dont have a follow up for 2 months, I am going to keep doing things my way, and in a month get my own labs drawn.

I even invited the beeat&$ to my birthday dinner my brother had for me after my appointment.

I do have a Scorpio asc, stealth at times I can be...I need a doc for my blood pressure meds, which I want to get myself off, eventually as well. And IF I cant control my high cholesterol and very high triglycerides, then I can go on a med to do so, but I want to try to do it MY way first.

It was kind of funny, tho, I showed up at my bday dinner and told my sis in law (the doc's sis) your sister just handed my a$$ to me...on a silver platter...

onward with my life!

ahm...MY life, lol!

Those kind of jerks....grrrrrr.
I was told I was delusional because when asked if I believed in UFOs;
I said yes, I have seen them.
I asked him, seeing all his angel pictures hanging everywhere;
"so do you believe angels are real?"
he replied;
"of course they are!"
I asked if he'd ever seen one;
and he said no; he has faith.
I said, so you believe in angels which you have never seen;
but I and the sheriff and many other folks;
are delusional because we all saw UFOs?
LOL........
then I got labeled combative.

^ It's such a racket.

In middle school, my sister got labeled as having Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and few other things when she was just being a mouthy 13-year-old.

Those labels helped to push her towards more "bad" behavior because, hey, "even the doctors say I'm that way - I can't help it".

hear ya there!

My good friend, who is getting married tomorrow at their awesome ranch in The Hill Country had an incident with her stepson..

She was washing dishes, put her grandma's diamond on the window and couldnt find it later, come to find out the stepson 14, had taken it.

Now his mom, is off and taking him to a psych doc, my skin craweled when I heard this. My friend said the mother is a recovering alcholoic, for years, lives by AA and by what the psych docs recommend for her...OMG!

I am really afraid and concerned for this kid.

I dont know him, but what I have heard and learned of him, I think he is "gay" and I really do fear for him when he tries to come out with this.

Will meet him tomorrow...

Yes, docs can s$@k.....I work with them, I should know, LOL!
