I thought maybe it would be a good idea to share any good remedies (home or other) for healthy, beautiful Hair.I use this home remedy every now a then when I feel my hair needs a boost. It rejuvinate's my hair by making it stronger and shiner and my fav part is that its a home treatment that has *no chemicals*. I dont know if anyone might have already tried this before but if you haven't, you should give it a try. All you need is Olive Oil,Avacado & Egg I have medium-long hair and this is the proportion I use: * 1 large Avacado (mashed into a fine paste) * 1 Egg (beat) * 6 tablespoons of Olive Oil or about quarter cup of Olive Oil. Mix all this together and apply to your dry hair and leave it in for about an hour. Then wash it out followed by your regular shampoo and conditioning. Depending on how olive oil stays in your hair you may or may not want to rinse another time. This should give you a restored shine while leaving your hair healthy and soft. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing this, I want to really nurish my hair and scalp more Whenever I want my hair to shine or have slight highlights, sometimes I would rinse my hair with apple cider vinegar. It makes the locks glow IP: Logged |

I do a pre-poo (before shampoo) conditioning with organic extra virgin coconut oil to moisturize and detangle my hair before shampooing.Moisturize with a combination of JBCO(Jamaican Black Castor Oil), aloe vera and peppermint oil. IP: Logged |

I used to boil the dried pods of honey locust and used the strained liquid to wash my hair. Then I’d follow with a rinse of lemon juice. This concoction can make the hair darker, soft and silky. Now I sometimes use coconut oil for my hair.

i second the virgin coconut oil. I've seen a lot of Indian girls with beautiful long thick hair, and they all swear by coconut oil. For blonde hair, beer and chamomile tea seem to work wonders for making the hair lighter, and lessening hair fall. ...well though i had more but that's it... IP: Logged |

Coconut oil is a great choice as well and I actually tried cold-pressed virgin organic coconut oil for a while. Coconut oil is lighter and smells wonderful but it for some reason made my hair fall out. It is not that I wont use it at all but I find EV olive oil suites my hair better. It strengthens my hair better. but I am sure different things suit different people so if coconut oil works better for you then thats great as well. They are both a healthy, natural way to nourish your hair. @librachoice77 your wecome. coincidentally, my sister who is also a libra uses apple cider vinegar sometimes as well. I cant really stand the smell of any sort of vinager so i passed ^_^ @ 12muddy sounds interesting, will look into it. @ail & jellyfishtry sounds great. @ randall try it out and see.

Grape seed oil is great for cooking, because it has no flavor on its own.IP: Logged |
