I am a 23 year old female, losing hair and I don't know why. I am so tormented by this! I have been to doctors and no one is really helping me. If any of you have any advice or can help me in any way, please let me know. I am willing to try anything at this point! <3 IP: Logged |

I have been there, Friend. It was stress. I had stress from which I could not extricate myself, in my own mind.I am not bragging but my hair is gorgeous now. I attribute it to several things. I juice aloe leaves every day--the whole leaf with the peel. Sometimes, I do 2 leaves( and the big ones) I juice greens every day. My hair is so full and shiny that people comment on it. I love it myself

Hi Beenylove, it is stress.Aloe is great. on the opposite side of the globe, Argan oil is all the rage. Seems to work well. Another great oil, that is even great for falling eyelashes, is castor oil. (if you use this on the eyes to, make sure it doesn't get into the eye. A vitamin C shower filter made all the difference to, when living in a place with a lot of hard water. that and any meditation and "earthy food" that is food that definitely grew from the ground, fruits and vegetables in their raw form. Will help you on the inside out. Let me know if you try any, and how it goes for you! IP: Logged |

THank you so much for the advice! You have both given me hope! I am definitely going to try aloe and oils, in addition to meditating and going on a raw food diet! <3 Thank you again!IP: Logged |

Here's a thread I made about hair regrowth before: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/003110.html Also, do you drink a lot of coffee and/or eat a lot of fruit? According to macrobiotics, too much yin food and drink (like coffee and fruit) can make your hair thin out. Best wishes IP: Logged |

Ami,Does whole aloe leaf taste gross? I'm not squeamish but aloe seems slimey and like it would just ooze down your throat. I bought some to juice, but I just look at the plant in fear. IP: Logged |

I love it. That is weird to say but I like bitter tastes and I enjoy seeing how I can make it taste good. The best way to mask it is carrot and orange.
I am used to the taste now so don't mask it much but a little with pineapple, apple and lemon or something like that---maybe mango. I seriously can't get over my hair. I honed it down to the aloe. I use it on my skin and hair too. It makes your hair look great and skin too. Looking forward to the wheat grass seeds!

If your stomach ever is upset, the aloe is wonderful. I would suggest getting the real plants rather than buy it from the store.I see the real difference in the energy of something grown by you. That energy goes into you and gives you wonderful energy. I love my plants so much. They are like people, to me. I appreciate them and what they give me. It is very easy to grow aloe. I have 2 different kinds. One is a medicinal one I got from the raw food store near me. The other I got from Wal mart which is the more common kind. The medicinal one looks like a huge cactus and is darker. The other is smaller and a light green. The medicinal one is stronger but any aloe you grow would be really good.

Anyways, what a wonderful share .. Thank you!!! Welcome Newrise It is not a stupid question, at all. I don't cut off the thorns because I put it in the juicer and the thorns get juiced. I have made an aloe peel salad where I cut off the thorns. This really makes you go to the bathroom, so don't do it if you are in a position where you can't lol You can do whatever you want so you can eat the aloe. It takes time to deal with the bitterness and to mask it. Now, I don't need to mask it much because I am used to it. Now, I just juice 2 whole leaves and a little pineapple or mango to cut the bitterness and that is it. At the beginning, I had to cut it more and carrots and citrus do it the best. You could put it in a smoothie but it may be gross. That would be the only thing LOL

If you can go to the doctor and have your Vitamin D levels checked, hair loss in women is one of the signs of Vitamin D deficiency.IP: Logged |
