Topic: Hi everyone.. Tell me, how do you "know" you are on the right path (spiritually)

I am in my thirties...And feel like I am just NOW beginning to discover my self.
I have never been self sufficient, and ended up marrying someone because he was "Safe" and takes care of everything. However, I have gone through a tremendous growth period, and am being led towards a divorce. My husband gets it, and has been very supportive..
It's just so hard to explain my reasoning..
Has anyone gone through this and come out okay? I am SO scared...I could stay "safe", but really, isn't our purpose here to spread our wings and live?Thoughts/ExperienceS? IP: Logged |

I have had many paths, and, like yourself didnt begin to realize them and look back on the paths of the past until a bit of emotional maturity took over.As far as I am concerned you are always on the right path, as I trust in the Universe to guide me and try to experience all that life affords me, the good and the bad. Life is a spiritual experience in the flesh, I think. As far as feeling like you are not on the right path, then perhaps The Universe, God, Source whatever your preference, may be nudging you to call upon your intuition (the same sources as the above mentioned) to take a different path. teri~ )~( IP: Logged |

As long as you are moving forward, it's the right Path. It may not seem like it, and it may be a short detour only, which leads to a different direction, but it's the right Path. IP: Logged |

Ok, you will know in your heart of hearts what to do.
Your intuition will NEVER steer you wrong.
But we as humans, tend to not trust our gut, we tend to follow the head (the "ego" )
The mind will mess with you over and over.
I like to see it as the devil and angel thing on the shoulders....the devil (mind, ego) takes his pronged pitch fork and pokes at you so you think it is the right thing to do...the angel (intuition, connectedness to the divine) speaks in small whispers.
Just follow what you feel and you will never go wrong. Even if it seems like you are not on the right path, you always will be as long as you dont give into the human brain...

My 2 cents as a highly spiritual human with considerable amount of intuition: my brain has screwed me over so many times it's pathetic and eventhough I don't dwell in the past or even like to think about it, I can safely say that in hindsight, my intuition has never been wrong. IP: Logged |

You'll be fine. You'll be better than fine if you just follow your intuition. If you are not happy in the situation you are in, then change it. It's your choice.I also became highly enlightened in my 30s and went through about a 10 year period of monumental changes. I left a marriage I was miserable in when I was 35. I can't even imagine what my life would be like now if I had stayed. A year later I left a job I hated and started my own business. I have had so many amazing things happen to me once I decided to change my life that it would take a book to tell you all of it and some of it would be unbelievable. But trust me, if you want something, you can have it and you can do it. Have faith in yourself because you control your destiny. IP: Logged |
