Do you guys think eating meat is healthy? Ive been pro vegetarian for a while and have been eating little to no meat. But recently I'm craving it a lot. It's like it's what I've been missing. When I eat it I feel more in tune with the physical reality rather than the spiritual reality. And I feel stronger and more versatile. While being vegetarian my body feels like it is quite healthy and can relax while with meet I feel more comfortable and like my body can support itself better.

I don't know. It tastes really good too. Then again, it's not that good for the animals or the environment to eat meat. It's just weird I am craving meat for once. So anyway do you guys eat meat or not and what are your thoughts on eating meat and being a vegetarian and what is healthier in your opinion? I think I read that the average lifespan of a vegetarian is 10 years longer than a meat eater.

I eat raw fish( sashimi) My friend has chickens in his yard and he brings me organic eggs.

I think I feel stronger with these.

Meat and chicken turn me off.

I ate some organic chicken that my son brought home but it felt too heavy so I am gonna stick to fish, raw if I can.

The rest of the time I am almost 100% raw.

I've been a vegetarian for over 20 years and am the healthiest person I know, so I know for sure that it is not bad for you. There are so many different opinions and theories on this, I just don't care anymore. You have to do what is right for you. What always amazes me is that some people find eating a plant disgusting but are perfectly fine with eating a dead animal, even with blood running on the plate and gnawing on bones and skin.

Maybe what your body is craving is not actually animal flesh, but protein. There are many ways to get it without being a meat eater, so do some research on that and make sure you get enough. Most people get too much. You usually only need to worry about it if you work out strenuously for at least 3-4 hours or run marathons, triathlons or something to that effect.

So I guess to answer your question, yes it is healthy. Nobody is ever going to convince me that eating an animal is good for you. I've heard it all for too long.

Watch the documentary "Forks Over Knives". Very interesting.

Your body knows what it needs. You may be lacking enough fat in your diet, or you could be having some kind of a nutritional deficiency.

Thanks guys. Yeah I definitely don't put the effort in to get enough protien while beig a begearian. I just eat a can of beans here and there. But often just it kippers or sardines to get my protien needs. I think meat alone takes care of most of your nutritional needs so it is simple and easy to eat it.

But my mind definitely feels more at ease and relaxed when I don't have meat in me. Anyway I'll continue giving my body what it wants and try to slowly transition more to vegetarianism.
