Mars in 12th house has been a struggle for me since I was a kid.

All the descriptions of Mars in 12th house, like fear of confrontation, can't express anger, being scared to fight, individual sports, all those things I can relate to an completely understand.

But I really want to change that, I have had enough of not being able to express anger properly and to assert myself.

I don't know how to heal this major aspect of myself but I want to so very badly.

So I am asking you all here, how do I heal this? What should I do? How can I progressively rid myself of this hidden rage and express my anger properly and healthily.

Thanks all

my boyfriend is a 12th house Mars
He is very good at meditating.

I'm starting to think 12th house Mars is a good placement to be psychically good at meditating.

Maybe some kind of spiritual outlet would be good for you.

I'm a 12th house Mercury. I carried a lot of rage and anger. If others have done you wrong...they say you have to forgive them. (which sounds really messed up!!)
Well a way that helped me let go a little was trying to understand why someone did not do the right thing. Understanding can help, doesn't mean they did the right thing, but understanding why can help release a good amount of the anger.

I also quit smoking almost 2 weeks ago.
Before I quit I did a lot of research.
Looked into herbs to stabilize my moods.

Some homeopathic sedatives I've been taking for quitting are Valerian, Skullcap, and Passionflower.

For example my mom can be a pretty annoying person to be around. She is a very nice person, for the most part, just very annoying. Especially when you are trying to get out the door. She was very annoying when I was leaving for a party. (first time going to a party as a quitter as a matter of fact) Snooping at the birthday card I got my friend, and telling me that I should change my clothes. So I basically told her that I look good, and if she minds trying to not be so annoying, and that one of my biggest challenges of quitting is having to deal with annoying people like her! (I know, I know that is very harsh to say)

But she put me in a very irritable state, when I was about to leave, for my first party as a quitter. My mom was about to go somewhere soon so I felt a sigh of relief when she left before me. Instead of smoking I took two skullcaps, vented to a few friends ran some last minute errands for party then went to party. And then I was like wow...I naturally calmed myself down with out a cigg.

Also a few years back a group of people I hung out with a lot, wanted nothing to do with me.

They ignored me, went out of their way to isolate and exclude me. Talked smack about me behind my back.

The pain they made me feel, and the void of not hanging out with them anymore...I used that to do positive things I can control, like cooking and baking. I got back into running. I ran to blow off steam not to loose weight. I shaped up so much! And looked better than ever.
Sounds like a Scorpio thing, pheonixing when others want me dead.(not literally but you know)

Pretty much me and my boyfriend share some friends, and when we got together...pretty much all of our friends were un-supportive. I knew the whole time, but when my boyfriend finally found out, he confronted everyone, it pretty much stopped. I pretty much buried the hatchet with a lot of them after.

Sounds crazy, that I was able to forgive, but again I was able to understand why a few of them did...my boyfriend did not verbally tell any of them that he liked me at the time, and another guy in the group did verbally express liking me to everyone behind my back and never brought it up to my boyfriend as well. (thank God cause if he told him, he would of probably refrained from putting the moves on me)

The group wanted to believe so badly that I was delusional for liking him and that I have high hopes in the sky-ohs! And he would always be a player and that he was just using me. When my guy found out that what his friends were saying about him, he was hurt. Plus they all knew him before they knew me, they were talking him up like an antagonist behind his back, while being his friend at the same time.
I know that a few of them eventually became ashamed of their behavior. Some people in groups grow up more than others.

This is not the easiest placement I know all too well having the same placement and house squaring my moon and semi square to pluto. I would agree with others that meditating might help, for me hitting the gym regularly and generally getting out and doing things helps burn off some of the pent up aggression it can harbor. Not sure of your age but for me really it just took time, its a repressed subconscious energy that is a challenge to deal with let alone master especially when younger. Read about the positive aspects of mars in cancer and focus on those to help up-end the negative aspects of it that drag you down. It retrospect it can come in quite handy, it does for me in business with a certain keen manipulative ability just make sure you keep the manipulation to things that don't cause harm to others..we live in a circular planet and what goes around comes around. It also gives physic ability to a degree depending on the rest of your chart, I sometimes scare myself with what I can predict, see into the future and generally in the know on many things but this is also do to other placements as well (pis. sun, early leo riser). Anyway enough about me, You also have the ability to give to others in abundance without expecting or needing much in return, this is a gift as long as you give it out to the right people who cherish you for it and not take advantage of it (i.e. people with their heart in the right place). It also has its romantic lining to it which is also a positive and those out there looking for a loving confidant and supportive person you are quite a catch in that department. As far as expressing and not repressing the anger this is one of the toughest aspects of it, really the only answer is to pull up your boot straps, don't be afraid and be assertive which is why I touched on it "just takes time". Focus on the positive aspects and the other positive aspects in your chart, as it is a 12th house planet you have the ability to subconsciously work on it as well without really knowing it, keep your spirits positive where you can and find a caring understanding partner and you will be fine, trust me. Plus who wouldn't want a loving, go the extra mile for you and got your back person...this is what you have the ability to do if you can stick your neck out of the shell more often rather then hiding in it.

I might add this was based on Cancer mars in 12th, didn't see you actually post the sign yours was in but a lot of it probably applies anyhow.
