started 1,000 units sometimes more of biotin and, while not pregnant, I got a case of prenatal gummies. yummy gummys!I have been doing this about two weeks with a sublingual B 12 dose as well and it seems I can already feel my nails growing harder. They say toe nails take a longer time. I have been using virgin pressed coconut oil as a body lotion and rubbing it into my nails as well for a few months as well. I think the addition of the biotin has an effect. anyone tried the pre natals when not pregnant or the biotin? I read the warnings about taking the pre natals when not pregnant but take no other multi supplement and am chewing these up two or more a day... what do you all think?

I've been taking biotin for hair and nails. Capricorn here, it's my weak spot. Can't tell much difference in the hair, but my nails are stronger. I take the capsules, but open them and mix it powder in juice. Some capsules are not dissolvable. Did you know that? Instead of testing each one I just open them all and mix everything together in juice. You can test the capsules, though. The Bragg's vinegar mimics our stomach acid. Put a capsule into the vinegar and see if it dissolves. If not, then it's not going benefit you to take it. IP: Logged |

Collagen powder with vitamin c is good for hair and nails too. Collagen has to be taken with vitamin c or it won't be absorbed into your system. There is a product that already combines them for ease of use. It's tricky taking supplements. You really have to be a molecular scientist to know just how your body utilizes each supplement or vitamin. It's best to consult an expert. We, our culture in general, spend tons of money trying all kinds of products that are so called healthy, but dont even think twice about testing them or consulting an expert on how to use them. Our bodies are complicated bio machinery that needs fuel and maintenance at timed intervals and in proper combinations. The instructions and write ups are sometimes just a legal or regulatory requirement or guideline and we believe what the bottle says, because it says what it says and we are supposed to believe. It is so worth it to consult a health professional who specializes in molecular medicine to find out just which products are true to their packaging, how each supplement works in your body, how and when to use it, or even if you really need it or not. Sorry for rambling IP: Logged |

I didn't know that. The powder I take has helped me a bit - it calms the nerves, and can help you sleep, but I take it for something else. I'll have to figure out how to get some vitamin c as well. I can't swallow capsules. IP: Logged |

I saw the Bragg's apple cider vinegar at the store. What do you notice is the main difference between it and the cheapo products?IP: Logged |

A lot of people have this problem. Vitamin C comes chewable. Must use the natural form, made from fruits so your body knows how to use it. IP: Logged |

I love the taste of the Bragg's Vinegar. Shake it up before you use it to get the good stuff from the bottom. Bragg's makes amino acid, too that you can squirt on your food after it's cooked. You can't heat it because that will cancel its nutritional benefits. IP: Logged |
