My hair is getting so long that it's getting super tangled. Ouch.

I had to start using something.
I started using rosewater. And it worked great, and my hair looked very nice after too.

Ran out yesterday. Don't really feel like going out and buying more rosewater, or anything on the drugstore shelves. So I've been looking up videos on how people make their own detanglers. Pretty much everyone does water, pumps of conditioner, and a type of oil.

I thought it would be fun to see what other LL users do to detangle their "do's"

I use a shampoo with conditioner, and while it's on my hair, I pull the tangles gently apart. Makes my hair look great when it dries (and curly without tangling). For dry tangles, Johnson & Johnson Baby Shapmpoo detangler works magic (it uses a pump spray bottle).

When I was using a vinegar-water rinse to wash and condition my hair, I would just add a little bit of jojoba oil, with some essential oils to smell nice.

Eh...but I remember you and I have different hair types, so even jojoba would probably be too heavy for yours? Rosewater sounds nice, maybe I'll give that a try (although my hair might be too fuzzy for that, and need the heavier stuff).

I can't recall why I stopped using vinegar, and went back to allegedly "natural"ish shampoo and conditioner.

But what I do is just leave some of the conditioner in my hair after I've rinsed it, and leave it that way. It definitely works for me, but it might make your hair a little bit heavy, unless you find a super light conditioner.

Thanks Randall and Violets!
Yeah my tangles get so bad sometimes, that I have to spray towards the the scalp.(w/ the one I made) Then the next day my hair is already greasy!

I also started using leave in conditioner after a shower. Works well, my hair is so silky after, and my boyfriend loves the smell of it. It's Garner Fructis. Not the most natural stuff, but it's silicone free. It is a bit too heavy for me I think though. The next day my hair is greasy. Which makes sense, it's a hand me down from my sister and she has Shirley Temple curls. The stuff works so good that I can take a break from it, and shower using regular conditioner and my hair wont get tangly when I get out.

But yes, it's tricky when I get tangles close to my scalp.
I've been contemplating braiding my hair after a shower, so that when I wake up the next day I can take them out and have instant tangle free wavy hair.
