I notice my self doing this a lot lately. It's getting embarrassing.

Why do people Freudian slip?
Is there any kind of lifestyle change that can prevent these slips?

When there are things in your subconscious you are not aware of, and they bother you, you may do fruedian slips. Try writing a diary in order to get more aware of yourself, that is one possible way.

I suppose Mercury retrograde could have something to do with that, or 3H transits. Also, try checking transits to the 12H for hidden or unconscious expression which needs to be examined. Transits to 4H for introspection.
If the timing is right it is a great opportunity to pay attention, without judgement, and keep a log if these slips to look for a pattern.

A lot of healing could come from this right now. The alternative is to think first, not speak, then measure your words, especially in a critical situation, but that will surpress what needs to come out. Can you give examples of the things you say or write that you consider Freudian slips?

By examples, I hope you don't write them if they are sexual in nature - i did not mean to hear explicit remarks. A Freudian slip is not always sexual.

I feel like I've noticed the Freudian slips when I started my first semester of school as a non smoker. Sometimes I wonder if it's my nervous system adjusting to not having smoke breaks to cope with full time school.

No planets are transiting in my 12th house. But if Saturn is in my 6th house, then it's opposing my 12th house.

Jupiter is rx in my 4th house too. Exactly on my IC.

Sometimes I wonder if it's dealing with shot nerves without smoking. It can be hard to have an outlet with work and school at times.

One example,
For a while I was often going into my pre k after care shift when the kids get up for their nap. Most of the kids are 3, so most days there is at least one kid who has an accident. So I do it, cause I'm the one who takes them to the bathroom. Sometimes a kid wont tell me they had an accident until they get to the bathroom. So then we have to wait for the other kids to be done, and I take that kid back to get clean clothes. And then I find out there are no gloves in the bathroom when THERE SHOULD BE. So then I am walking around with the kid again looking in all the rooms for gloves.

The teacher in the other room got sick of me taking hers, and told me to get some in the office. Another teacher was in there and had a tude for some reason. So when I told her I was taking the gloves but I said "wipes". She was like "those are gloves"
Well wipes are another thing I am walking around looking for a lot so it kind of makes sense that I would say that.

But yeah the classroom I'm in has a lot of supply issues. I brought some of them up at professional development day. So the situation is a little bit better.

But yeah seriously, if I'm gonna do the dirty work at the beginning of my shift keep gloves and FLUSHABLE wipes well stocked.

The last time I Freudian slipped was on Monday.

Well, withdrawal from cigarettes alone can cause nervousness and stress, less focus. Don't be so hard on yourself. Resolve the stress of the classroom and the Freudian slips have better chance of passing.

Here's a few suggestions based on your account of the preschool situation in how to relieve your stress. You did a good job already in expressing your concerns at the meeting.
First, since the "accidents" are quite common after nap time, perhaps potty breaks Before nap time would solve the problem.
Second, take care of supply issues by going right to the office to pick up extras before you enter the classroom, or at least "borrow" a pair of gloves and a small Baggie of wipes the previous day and carry it in your bag so you have them when you arrive first thing the next day.
In addition you could surprise the other classroom by bringing them supplies from the ofgice to make up for taking their supplies because you understand what it is like to run out.
To avoid stressful situations you must think ahead and solve your own problems before they become problems.
Lastly, perhaps do a little research on why the children are wetting during the nap time. Perhaps you can help these children in a big way just by addressing your own situation... You see, there is always a bigger picture at play.

[addition]im chuckling because my computer's auto fill spelling created a Freudian slip on this post, which I corrected, of course.
