Not until you posted them. I'm not sure what to say.

I suppose I agree--in a manner of speaking--that love & hate aren't so much different. It generally takes love to hate, like hating someone you once (or even still) love, or because someone is perceived as being a threat to you (assuming you love yourself to some extent) and loved ones. That's why the vast majority of hate propaganda (be it from a hate group or a church or the government) emphasise the threat of the enemy to one's family (especially children) as well as whatever else the target audience likely loves. Because when there's no love then there's usually just indifference.

However, I got the impression he was saying that someone who hated could learn to love instead rather easily, and I'm not so sure that's true (especially not by pix of men kissing their enemies or rivals on the lips). But hey, good luck with that.

I saw a bumber sticker on someones car that says "straight against hate"

I want one cause I'm straight, but I don't hate on different sexual orientations.

i like ur post pixiejane,

i personally dont know what to make of this ad campaign.. i mean if Benetton wanted a bomb shell, well they got themselves a bomb shell but essentially i dont read much into it since its just a a major marketing stunt..

i do believe one thing though, "the opposite of Love is NOT Hate its indifference.." Elie Wiesel

Nice quote...and very accurate, I think.

Ha.

Some cultures do some kind of kiss upon greeting. Certainly we've seen those photos of political leaders greeting each other.

But yeah--this seems pretty dumb indeed. Not going to make the intended point; I can imagine instead the complaints that it is promoting a "gay agenda."
