Another person is a person I have been friends with since 1969; who is a very devout Christian and who was married to an Orthodox Catholic.
None of them ever preached at me or tried to convert or persecute me in any way.

This is good news Lexx! One world here we come! But I am so sorry to hear of what they done to you in court - you are very courageous to stand up for your rights anyway. If more people do this, we will have more evolved systems.
The legal system is a scare-mongering campaign on some levels, designed to herd and control the people, and silence their individual voices.
Safety is one thing, but it often veers into gagging and mindless punishment.

I agree, morality and religion cannot be fairly combined. Few human beings could not be driven by their religious doctrine, undermining what is human and moral to masses of non-religious people.

I don't even know what I am - does that make me agnostic??

I don't even care what I am called.

As long as I am the best version of myself that I can be, the methods I chose to get there are my business!

Is Aquarius sun a protected class yet??

The abuse is real, no denying it.
There is only an illusion geared towards Christianity that makes religious freedom appear real. However it it not real and all the religions fight each other and try to foist their ways on others. Even for example Islamic folks angry and demanding that non Islamic girls here in America are being told they must "cover up" so as no not offend any Muslim students or whomever is deemed offended here in America.
Not going to track down articles on that at the ,moment;
but suffice it to say; we are not all free to believe without reservation or disbelieve in this country.
The mere facts that Christianity has invaded and permeated our political and justice systems speaks volumes about how warped things are and the lack of separation of church and state far too insidiously real and deeply pervasive.

Yeah like for example;
in the bible belt areas there are actually laws forbidding the feeding of homeless/hungry folks and that includes children! I'm totally appalled at the total lack of compassion there. And atheists have been arrested for breaking the law and feeding homeless folks! Again; not tracking down the articles at the moment, but it is really happening in some bible belt Republican areas,

If you are not religious but believe in the possibility of a divine entity etc., then yes, I would say you could be labeled Agnostic.
I have went from Agnostic to Atheist in the past few years.

Well said! If religious folks would keep their beliefs to themselves and keep it out of politics and the legal system and basically stop pushing it on others; then no one would need to complain.

I believe they should be a protected class, yes. I respect any one being's right to believe and just as equally, their right to not believe.

If we could all just respect one's own personal beliefs and views without trying to convert one another, the world would be a better place.
