I eat mostly vegan most of the time, but do incorporate some animal foods sourced from more ethical and responsible sources (such as goat milk yogurt and kefir and some sheep cheese, and egg yolks from healthy and better treated chickens). And after about 11 years of straight vegetariasm (some time eating only vegan in that), I felt intuitively nudged to occasionally eat only certain kinds of fish (mainly sardines and wild alaskan salmon). It's pretty infrequent. Having been experimenting and changing diet from 16 (stopped eating beef and pork, most junk food, soda etc then) till now at nearly 40, the current diet feels best for my body while keeping a balance in the other areas. Some folks might be surprised to know, that on a Soul level, some animals that are treated well and with respect, actually find joy in being of service to humans by giving milk etc. Provided these are treated mostly well. It's hard (and expensive) to find such sources that are consistently good at that though. If people were to stick to true and full vegan beliefs and ideals then they should not have any pets ever. And yet, most would say that this is extreme. And contrary to propaganda, some animal sourced foods are quite healthy in moderation. The ones I listed are some of them. IP: Logged |

I’m plant-based, no dairy or poultry/livestock. I don’t usually identify as vegan because I won’t eat highly processed foods or snacks just because it’s dairy free and because the rare occasion of fish...things vegans eat that I probably won’t
vegan-friendly junk foods like Oreos
