Friday, smoked bacon wrapped chicken thighs that had been marinating in a balsalmis vinegarette, filet mingons, and red new potatos.

Yesterday, a mix of shrimp, baby peas and edamame lightly sauteed in olive oil, hot house tomatoes and a slight chipotle tomatoe flavouring.

Last nighty, Beer Bread!!! mmmmmmmm

I put some spicy chips on bread and sprinkled some mozzarella cheese on it and microwaved. Lol, it's not cooking but it's good... to me.

on Friday i made baked ratatouille and bread, then me and my partner ate it outside with camembert with honey and cranberries, and red wine.

this is what i love about summer. we bring out out chairs to the front street and eat our food, while mocking the people next to us who are sitting at the outdoor tables of the fancy restaurant.

well... mocking part isn't the main purpose. we do this throughout the summer when the weather's good. it's great!

kinda sad though that the neighbourhood is changing and there are lots of posh and arty people moving in, and some see it as some sort of performance. ugh! we are just enjoying the weather, alright?

I'll play!

Last night, I had my friends over for a Tex-Mex themed Game Night. I made refried beans and corn bread with creamed corn & green chilies. I had diced cucumbers, tomatoes & red peppers, sour cream, shredded cheddar/jack cheese with salsa (mild red chunky & verde) as topping for do-it-yourself soft tacos & hard taco shells. We also had a 7-layer bean dip with guacamole to go with nacho chips. In honor of National Rocky Road Ice Cream Day (Thursday), we had 3 scoops of it for dessert!

The other night, I'd made mushroom herb risotto for my man, with an appetizer of cheese-topped garlic bread. Sides were steamed asparagus with cashews & steamed baby carrots with butter. Dessert was a home-made strawberry cheesecake with strawberry glaze & mixed berries. We finished most of it over about 4 days or so.. sigh.. perhaps time to cut back on the dessert! Naaah..

Indeed Ami

Last night I made the most spectacular fruit salad, it looked so beautiful.

We also ate veg sushi with over the top wasabi.

Went to our favorite fresh nut shop, got a bag of mixed raw nuts. Loving the brazil nuts right now.

Also got some REAL peanut butter, homemade.

And a couple of beautiful farm eggs, the yolks were vibrating the most stunning orange!

And a special ginger chocolate treat we ate last last night after the fruit salad with a green tea.

Yes I ate all that last night. NOMNOM.

I'm going to make some Chai Syrup today so we can make a chai latte anytime we want.

I plan of having a mega chai latte with some ginger chocolate as the best treat ever I can think of right now.

smokin more meat (been in texas too long )

this time polish kiolbassa (i am of polish heritage) butter nut squash, baked some homemade beer bread to hold the sauceage, and sauteed in olive oil red pepper, garlic and onions to top the sauceage with!

mmmmm

lol!

still say when i move back to the midwest, i am gunna open a taco wagon with all the smokey delites of south texas!!!

ps one time i took care of mrs kiolbasa herself at a hospital i worked at, she was old and confused and i kept asking her what the recipe for her sauceage was...she kept replying "well you take some pork add some salt and pepper..," i think her family brain washed her to stop at pepper!

Cant quit enjoying my latest creation.

Bought some Thai Curry sauce, added it to sauteed Tilapia, threw in edamame and frozen baby peas...a little bit of garilc powder and olive to get the fish started.

Mmmmmmmm. served up on an open faced romain leaf.
