I am throwing a pot luck at my work for a co-worker who is moving to England and I'm in need of any recipes anyone may have that would fit in our British theme.

We have a few people making meat pies and also wanted a couple of other dishes, so thought I'd rally up my LL fam to see if y'all have any ideas...?

Wow, thanks all! I appreciate it very much.
I also didn't realize just how different the food is over there. The sunday roast is very traditional here too. I love to throw mine in the crock pot with the potatoes, carrots, onions, celery and whatever else I can think of lol.

I visited London YEARS ago and just loved it.

Thanks for all the ideas!!

Winky,

You can not under any circumstances throw Sunday Roast dinner into a pot! What an awful thought! That would be a hotpot or a casserole!

lol Happy Dragon..
Yeah that pic above of the pudding has my tummy in knots ... seriously...blood? eeewww
To each their own I guess...

Now lalalinda, that Trifle looks wonderful!
Food Network I see
One of my favorite sit around the house kinda shows to watch!

Actually I made something when I was a senior in high school for a chef's competition in which one of the judges was Wolfgang Puck of all people. To try out for the team I made a Strawberry Truffle...or was it trifle? I probably biffed on the name but the dish was wonderful..

There is about 3 of us making meat pie's but I wanted something besides chips to go with it lol.

Thanks for the great tips!!
