Sounds good!Does anyone know how much energy a slow cooker use? Slow cooker vs. pressure cooker? Is there a difference in the taste between meals cooked in a slow cooker and a pressure cooker? IP: Logged |

You've never had lentil soup? It's one of the better legumes. Seriously, try some. I love making dahl/dal. IP: Logged |

It is good, healthy and easy!!!Lentils have a wonderful flavor all on their own, but when spices are added...mmmm. Yin, dont know about slow cookers vs pressure cookers, but I would imagine a slow cooker. The slow cookers cycle off and of and you can adjust the temp unlike a crock pot. I remember growning up with my granny and she loved to pressure cook. I was so scared of the thing...and requires constant heat, so I would tend to think the slow cooker would be better, but given the huge difference in cook time, who knows! IP: Logged |

Ah. The dal (daal) I was refering to is thicker and firmer and eaten with rice. The one in your link is a soup. It seems it's made differently in certaim parts of the world.IP: Logged |
