Until I get a husband who I can force to peel the potatoes (and do all the other hard jobs lol ;p), I am going to discontinue peeling, because it's such a pain and make them this way instead:Cubed potatoes, skin on boil - 20 minutes or so drain about 2/3rds water out of pot begin to mash add butter, milk, cream cheese, garlic salt, pepper mash more let sit for a few add more milk, butter, salt, etc until desired consistency and youre done. My favorite for mashed so far, are the "Gold Flesh", but next time i will try baby reds, as they are another favorite potato of mine. The skin is thin on the Gold ones, but it also makes a great baked potato too. Do I even need to mention that that is where all the nutrients are too - in the skin? Yum, yum. IP: Logged |

Ahh I made it the lazy way too. I dunno, I like it that way. ------------------ "The snake which cannot cast its skin has to die. As well the minds which are prevented from changing their opinions; they cease to be mind." — Friedrich Nietzsche IP: Logged |

I'd prefer them peeled, but with skin is almost just as good. IP: Logged |

Selenium renders mercury inactive while it is released by the body. Eat up.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

My version of lazy mashed potatoes, is "Smash mash" out of the box, added to boiled water, milk and butter. IP: Logged |

I have some emergency flakes for when I accidentally make it too runny. Just dump some of those in to thicken it up.IP: Logged |

ooo those look delicious.I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner atm.....something like that might be part of it.... I discovered my favorite toppings for burgers are beets and roasted red peppers. Great combo...... I think i might do that tonight.... IP: Logged |
