Has anybody tried it, liked it?

My grocers sells it, growing, really it is funny looking, complete with roots and a bit of sod.....you just pluck the live leaves and eat em!

I really like the texture of the leaves. Kind of leathery, thicker, not so crisp, but a very, very good flavor!

Making some salmon, marinated in Ponzu, red rice in the rice cooker and will toss the final batch upon a freshly picked bed of butter lettuce!

yummm~

Is it really lettuce, or is that just a name?

It is really lettuce, Randall and so strange.

Like I said, sold in a bit of sod, complete with roots.

Just LOVE it!
