I know we already have a spices topic but there is nothing that can replace fresh herbs. I use tons of cilantro and parsley and sometimes dill on everything I make!

Used to have an herbal garden but had to abandon that when I moved.
I grew sage and marjoram and mint and savory and oregano and lemon balm and calendula and chamomile and some other more esoteric stuff.

There is nothing like fresh peppermint to soothe your sour tummy or fresh calendula and lemonbalm for calming.

One of my dreams is to be an herbalist. I'd like to go to school for it. I would also love to take foraging classes. There are a lot of youtube videos on foraging and wild herbs.

What do you do with fresh herbs?

Cool! Are you into Thai cuisine? They use a lot of cilantro in combination with lemongrass/ lime and coconut. It's my favorite cuisine hands down. Aromatic goodness!

COOL!

I grow them, alot of them.

I have them disbursed in and amoungst my roses.

I recently am trying chamomile, to blend into passion tea. I always have my share of curry, dont know the healing benefts, but am sure there are some, IF the Indian culutre loves it so much. I have always grown mint, for teas, seems to clear the mind.

Rosemary, everywhere, I find it balancing. I have parsly, thyme and lavender.

Lavender, I just pick and bring in a sprig or two to burn with a candle and the rosemary or just smell.

My Pagan heart has always lead me to grow my own.

Need to scare up some Patchouli...nice old hippy herb! It is hard to find, but when I do...love the darn thing, just to walk by and smell..

Great thread, Yin!
