...finishing up a batch of basic old fashioned salsa I made yesterday. Yes, yummy, but I'm curious about how others spice theirs up. Not necessarily how you make it spicy, but if you have any different ingredients you use or can suggest that make it different yet still delicious.I want to try this one: Green chili Tomatillo Salsa http://mjskitchen.com/2012/05/tomatillo-salsa/ Plz share.

Yes, !Tomatillos are, in my opinion, after being a naturalized Texan, the very best salsa makers! I vein and deseed a bunch of japalenos, throw in a bunch of onions and a bunch of garlic and let it simmer away..salt as needed. Mango salsa is one of my favirtos, too. Basically your simple pico de gallo recipe with added Mangos...I LOVE that stuff! Pico and green tomatillo, my favirots! IP: Logged |

Thanks! Sounds yummy Been looking at different pineapple salsa recipes over here that i want to try out. I think I'd like it with just a touch of crushed pineapple for a bit of sweetness, but not too much. I know pineapple salsa also goes great on chicken or in tacos. And even on.... *drools*
