.......3rd try on perfecting my homemade dog food recipe and this one is the biggest hit (with my finicky dog and her not-so-finicky friends --- i've spoiled her and now she's a food snob)

perhaps the two finely chopped and sauteed pieces of bacon i added into this one helped

Do you make your own homemade dog food? If so, what are your recipes?

I will share some info and my current recipe here soon. It can actually be less expensive and healthier for your dog to make your own. Especially when you add alot of living garden herbs.

The last batch i made smells effing delish and if i didnt crush the egg shells into it (good calcium source for them) I'd try some myself. And i know the source of all the ingredients.......AND they were made with heaping spoonfulls of LOVE.

lol

They love bacon! The smell alone drives my fluffa nuts!

He also enjoys veggies, too.. Surprisingly. Potatoes, pumpkin, carrots.
Chicken with no skin and rice.

Some of mine are made with rice or whole wheat flour, egg, pureed liver/beef baby food and a smidgen of olive oil for their coat.
Bake thick & soft or thinner & crunchy.

I haven`t introduced veggies to 6 week old Morgan yet but Phoenix and Griffin are veggie-a-holics

I haven't done it in a while, I've used the cans lately My main recipes for my German Shepherd are ground meat with rice (or corn flour, alternatively) and vegetables, some of them such as carrots grated in there raw at the end. He also likes veal bone soup (or any big bone boiled and made soup). Also, veal or other big liver on grill or something with bones such as ribs; dogs need to eat real bones from time to time, it's very good for their teeth and their morale and something resembling raw meat (such as barbecue), unless they are vegan of course (my dog won't touch raw meat, but something barely grilled)

T , did you use pork bacon or turkey bacon? Does little peanut like real bones?

LeeLoo, mine don`t prefer raw meat either. I supposed it is because due to this, that or the other bacteria, I have always boiled or baked their meats....

Mine also love a baked cow shin bone. They spend hours gnawing the marrow out.
