Anyone try eating a homegrown bell pepper, including pith and seeds, all but the stem?

I diced the entire green pepper with onion, homegrown tomatoes and mixed it with chick peas for a fresh salad. No waste meal. Never thought about eating the entire thing until a friend mentioned it to me. Of course it was good.

Yes on the "pit"
No on the seeds, unless I put them through a food processor first.
Seeds in peppers is where the heat is with hot peppers. You can def vary the pepper taste depending on how much seeds you use.

They are hotter than the veg but not considered hot. They do contain a small amount of capsaicin which has health benefits. The seeds add a little zip, a kind of crunchy peppery taste. Guess that's how they get their name pepper.

Sometimes. I make a lot of Tex Mex but I have to be careful of others who can't take food that's too hot, but I'll generally eat the seeds myself.

I know someone who found black pepper too hot!

Bell peppers are not hot. They are "sweet" peppers. They have the flavor of pepper but no hotness what so ever. The seeds also contain no hotness as far as I'm concerned.
