Okay, so for the past several weeks, if not months, my body and taste buds have been trying to tell me something.Right now, my body is in lockdown. My lower abdomen has been been sore, not hurting per se, just sore. I've been sleepy, at times cranky and very picky with food lately. My brain is telling me to eat bad foods, but my body is like "tofu sounds real good right now". I was watching this vegan cooking show on TV a month or two ago and my mouth literally started to water. I look at pictures of vegan foods (not desserts) and I literally want to lick the phone screen. Whenever walk by this vegan resturantb in my neighborhood I have to stop my legs from taking me in there. It's like I have ZERO desire to eat junk food anymore. Everytime I do, I feel like crap and I wish I had never thought of eating such and such in the first place. I know thats why I've been so sick off and on, my body is literally rejecting all this processed, toxic junk and I pay for it every time. I have been doing large amounts of research online per vegetarianism and such, but it's frusterating. Because the cause seems to expensive and time consuming. I feel lost as to where to start with my journey. I am certain with the aid of vitamins and excerize, this will pretty much turn my health around. Anyone here have any input concerning this topic? Any feedback would be great! Thanks! IP: Logged |

I am raw vegan but not anal about it Today, I went to an Italian restaurant and had Eggplant Parm. I have raw fish and eggs from my friend's chickens and raw cheese but 75% is raw vegan. You feel much, much, much better with raw vegan. Raw is the thing. I was cooked vegan and did not feel well( or look well) My skin and hair etc looks really good, too. I can answer questions for you, if you want. ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Start by weaning yourself. Start eating healthier foods, vegetarian meals, and vegan/raw when you can. Prepare your own food as often as possible as energy goes into food preparation and you want loving energy going into that. If/when you do want to eat meat/dairy only eat organic happily raised meat and dairy, this is very important, well I personally think all organic is the way to go, it doesn't have to be certified as long as you know it's not GMO or sprayed/grown with pesticides. Don't beat yourself up when you do eat something bad. But the more healthier foods you start eating the more you will notice how much better you feel when you do and eventually you will stop craving the bad food and your brain will stop thinking it wants it too. Re-wiring can be a slow process. Your body can go into shock if you go from eating meat everyday to being a raw vegan. Eat fruit for breakfast and wait half an hour for digesting time before eating something else. There are 4 main food rules that everyone should know but are difficult to follow: 1. Do not eat fruit and vegetables together. 2. Do not eat fruit and milk together. 3. Do not drink liquid with meals. (I have a hard time with this one.) 4. Do not drink any water within 1 hour (before or after meals.) The first two are because wrong food combination causes fermentation in the stomach which in turn causes acid blood. The second two are because it dilutes the nutrient absorption process that takes place during digestion. I posted this food blog its my co-workers, in the recipe index there are a lot of awesome vegetarian and vegan meals, there are desserts on there too but there are some great entree's as well. www.wholeheartedeats.com I realize her last post was a fruit and vegetable salad, she has not read the herbal books that I have. The Moosewood Cookbook is an AMAZING vegetarian cookbook. A must have. Organic food not only tastes better but your body and the Earth will thank you. Don't quabble about it costing more, it is worth it and the love and money you put into these things will come back to you. Good luck I hope you all the best on your body/brain re-wiring to a happier, healthier state from eating foods that are themselves healthier and happier IP: Logged |

In the long term it doesn't cost more. It's an investment in health and you end up eating less when your new diet is established because there are no wasted calories. IP: Logged |

You can start by eating in. No take out or restaurant food. I did this and it was the best decision I ever made. Save tons of money and recondition your body instantly, even if you eat the same foods as before, gradually incorporating heathier foods. Preparing them fresh, from scratch makes a difference, and you don't have to question what's in them. Even salad bars are packed with preservatives when you eat out. How do you think raw vegetables can sit out all day and still look pretty by the time you get there? Gradually incorporate minimally processed food as much as you can. That means eating raw or cook everything from scratch. Think "quality" not "quantity" You are worth it. IP: Logged |

Agreed with both the above statements from PlutoSurvivor. Pretty much all restaurants unless stated are un-organic, everything is about costing and time efficiency. Most people in the food industry are over-worked and underpaid and putting that unhappy energy in the food. I never eat out unless someone insists on "treating me" (a rare occurrence at that), the lack of care in the food is obvious most of the time and is actually cheaper to make something that will taste and feel better for yourself at home. I also dislike being served by others, it's obvious how fake/unhappy most servers are, having to put on the smile and happy face for the customers, and as stated before, servers and chef's alike are overworked and underpaid, meanwhile government and office workers get paid three times as much to sit on their butts and do practically nothing. The system needs to change. IP: Logged |

It's good that you are already listening to your intuition/body by realizing what it's craving, you've already started! The seed has been planted now you just have to water it and help it grow!IP: Logged |

Start slow, my Friend. That way, it is easier like start with one raw meal a day. I try not to be rigid about it. I eat shrimp when I go out. I eat eggplant parmesan at Italian restaurants. I buy raw cheese and have eggs from my friend's chickens, all of which are verboten from true raw vegans lol ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it.
