To avoid ractopamine residues in Turkey (and other meats) be sure to buy certified organic
Read about it here: http://foodbabe.com/
I will paste full article in health and healing with details and health warnings.

that said...

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. I have grand memories of getting up early to peel piles of potatoes for the potato stuffing, relaxing by the fireplace, playing original sheet music from the 40's on piano for the family, stuffing my belly 'till I could not move, and most of all my grandmother's apple pie famous for her crust and wonderful staymen winesap apples piled with freshly whipped cream.

What are your Thanksgiving memories/traditions?

Hah!

Gave half my ham to some Oregon-bound boys yesterday.

It was funny, I only made it early, cause my turkey is so fat.

Threw some Hot-Seeded Mustard and Potato Bread in for Good Measure.

Oh, man Randall.

Well, you know you are always Welcome here.

Man, you need your Stuffing.

Hope the Pumpkin Pie doesn't suck.

*sigh*

At least you won't have to do the dishes.

Nothing beat the smell of sage, rosemary and thyme drifting up the stairway on Thanksgiving morning.
Wonderful childhood memories of Thanksgiving and the family get togethers!

Memories of grandma's pies and assortment of sides and stuffing. She went all out.

Grandpa getting tipsy, but always pleasant and funny.

Mom pushing everyone's buttons and starting arguments with them and monopolizing the dinner table conversations. LOL

My brother always taking numerous helpings of cranberry sauce.

I haven't done anything for Thanksgiving in years. Might get together with a couple of neighbor's here and do something small, but it's not definite yet.
