how many times have u been walking around nonchalantly minding your business when suddenly u get a wiff of some smell -nothing special - just a faint scent that reminds you of something, someplace, or someone?!

i remember as a kid when i lived all year abroad and came back to beirut to spend my summer vacation, even as an 8 year old, the first thing i'd do after getting of the plane is get a good wiff of the smell of Beirut! my God she is beautiful

It happens, because when you have a happy experience (or unhappy one), and there is scent asociated with it, the brain grows a new dendrite to house that memory. So whenever you smell that same scent, it produces either the memory, the emoption of joy (sorrow), or both.

For me smell is so emotive, I sometimes get a lady walk past me and she smells of a scent..

& I think woh my ex used that same scent 20 years ago, yet it stayed in my nose despite not smelling it for so long.

constantly...unfortunately the trigger seems to be the smell of urban pollution but nevertheless a "happy" smell

Whenever you are outside and you get a wift of flowers on the wind with none nearby, it is said to be a good omen.

there is an old building smell that sets my senses on point.

it is a special smell, that only buildings over say 150 seem to have. I first noticed it when I was a kid, we were at Mt Vernon, and then Monticello. At Mt Vernon I got a really weird feeling too, a connection with the building that the smell seemed to heighten? I don't know.

I do have a very fine tuned olfactory, Venus in Taurus, many Taurus placements...I am rambling--- I feel that Taurus is smell dominate, more so that the other Venus sign Libra.

Anyhow-

Memory recall is significant. I also got that 'smell' thing on a visit to John Wilkes Boothe family home, I cannot tell if that special smell of old house has anything to do with past lives....or whatever.

Always meant to ask LEXX about it, never have.

The entire town of Williamsburg has that smell.

I like the smell of certain book pages. You know those light brown thin pages.

The smell of cows, trash, and petrol. Reminds me of my grandfather's gas station in India, and their cutie cow.
