My IQ of 139.. Now it's 124. I don't miss the bullies and the stupid gossip and overall immaturity. High school kinda sucked. IP: Logged |

Ahaha skipping classes was fun! I remember me and 2 others skipped and apparently we were the only noisy boys at the back of the class and for us 3 to get sick on the same day was such a coincidence so they called our houses haha busted! IP: Logged |

I miss playing pranks on the meany butt teachers. I miss breaking the rules (especially the dress code - we had to wear a uniform - I would change it up a bit) and challenging the head master. They didn't want me wearing my nose ring (a tiny diamond stud), complained about my henna decorated hands and said I would be suspended if I did not comply with the rules. They lost. There was no rule forbidding facial piercings, only the amount of piecings in the ears, nor anything about decorating the skin, pfft. ------------------ quote: Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma.

What I don't miss? Corporal punishment. Yes, even in this "modern" age, teachers were dishing it out. They could give you a beating for about anything with a "weapon" of their choice: a wooden stick, ruler, chalk board duster, one teacher had a whip! He used it liberally on the boys. Some would smack the kids around (no exaggeration - it was an acceptable practice to discipline kids and parents didn't complain about it either). The boys got their "cuts" on their butts and the girls on their knuckles or hands. When a teacher had to leave the class room briefly, he/she would appoint one of the students to jot down the names of those who talked in class during their absence and were punished when the teacher got back. My name was always on the list.. ------------------ quote: Remember, love can conquer the influences of the planets....It can even eliminate karma.

how for presentations I could just talk out my ass and get an A. (Mercury is my ruling planet. hahaha) Like I seriously put very little effort into my work. But now in college it's a bit different...you really have to put effort in them, and back up everything you say, and have evidence. It can be very intimidating! For college, during some point in the presentation I tremble and shake. Not like me at all. Other than that good riddins! Some good memories, but not worth repeating. It was prison to me. I hate being told I have to be somewhere or do something. I went but did nothing except sit there until I staged my prison break when I turned 16. One of the best decisions I ever made. No regrets whatsoever. Got my GED. Went to college. IP: Logged |

The optimism that comes with youth. I couldn't wait to do a lot of things that came with growing older. Now, I groan at the thought of paying bills and having to be anywhere in the morning. Used to love road trips, now I wish that teleporting were real. What I absolutely don't miss: the fights, gossip, backstabbing, religion class, the dean of discipline who looked like a cartoon pimp, volleyball, and uniforms that itched no matter how many times you washed them and how much fabric softener you added to the wash. Absolutely nothing. Greatest waste of time. Went to school with a total bunch of jackasses. Liked nobody and nobody liked me. If I could, I would take a flamethrower to the damn place. One of my teachers offerred to eat his shoes should I finish college. Upon finishing graduate school, I tracked him down and offerred to buy french fries and ketchup with his shoes. IP: Logged |

I guess a lot didn't like their high school experience. I got booted out of mine as well so I guess I shouldn't like it too but I liked the people I met especially when I transferred to a more international school. I don't keep in touch with anyone from that time though..IP: Logged |
