im a total Pink Floyd head. my poor friends suffer with me, somehow i always wind up explaining to them the message behind the wall, how delusional Pink is, the beautiful regret and sorrow behind wish you were here and shine on you crazy diamond. oh geez.

anyway i am obsessed with this song seriously every morning i have to listen to it. and i never get tired of it. i love ballads, a song is not a song if it's less than 8mins in lengths IMO.

so it's only fair to spread my crazy fangirl obsession with you guys so give it a listen. it's 26 mins long but i guarantee every second is gold!

Aww...

This song was written about Syd Barrett, and I have the same birthday as him.

Don't mean to be an egotist, but eccentricity is part of the January 6th legacy, and it's hard sometimes..nice to see someone appreciating the *crazy* part.

Roger Waters wrote the song, he's born September 6, no need to point out the significance to you folks. David Gilmour's born March 6.

Venus, I love Pink Floyd, too.

My favorite song by them is "On the Turning Away."

the fact that that is your fav. Floyd song shows what a sweetheart you are! Elusively simple lyrics, with a strong message. I have to say i heard this one (and other tracks of that album) after obsessing over The Wall, Wish You Were Here, and Darker Side.. so it surprised me. i didn't expect such a humanitarian song..

if i had to choose a fav. track it would be Comfortably Numb. even though i loove shine on you crazy diamond. when comfortably numb is playing i literally zone out. it speaks directly to my moon, pluto, venus and what not.. i saw Brit Floyd in concert last year, they are the BEST tribute to Pink Floyd and when they played comfortably numb it was the best thing ever, i was in tears!!

they're back in Beirut in December, can't wait!!

I fell in love with The FLoyd in 1977...

I really got it bad a few years ago with
"Live at Pompeii..."

A remastered vid of them doing Echos in Pompeii!

A MUST see!
