Eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruits
Go running with my bff
Hang out LOTS with my other bff (she won't escape!)
Save money for some trip on my birfday or on next Christmas

But for now, survive my boxing day shift, see my moved away bff, then hide out for a week or two.

oh i've been like that for the past 28 though. just kidding! i know a lot of people that have this credo though. especially when i was in sales. it seems someone has also hurt them in the past. jeez they were all crying by the beach this one time and i can't help but think to myself that it wasn't about that for me. i wanted to actually give. to stop being selfish. i couldn't connect with those sentiments. oh well must be y i didn't last in that job.

I don't think it has anything to do with being hurt... it has to do more with finding your resolve, after neglecting it, and finding a sense of self appreciation.

~ dunno about Vi~ but I've lived the past 10 years trying to be someone else's rock, their punching bag (literally in my last relationship), being their second mommy (with manchild), and abandoning my family, and every earthly ambition and passion I held dear, for the sake of someone else's idea of perfection, of the "ideal" life, roles.... and whatnot...

If I'm selfish this year, and I reckon that each and every in-law I have will say I am after this January.... It is because I've "rediscovered" what I need to be doing... and because I'm reconnecting with my true self... and all those things I'd left behind...

Being selfish is only a negative trait, when you ignore feeling compassion towards other humans, when you have no interest outside of your own, it becomes a huge, nasty, character flaw... Directed in the right way, however... I believe it is an invaluable strength... that's why there are so many philosophical mentors, success icons, celebrity icons, which preach to "love yourself" ~ as a virtue!~

quote:

“To help yourself, you must be yourself. Be the best that you can be. When you make a mistake, learn from it, pick yourself up and move on.” - Dave Pelzer
- A Capricorn, and a survivor of abuse, author, wise soul.... <3

how about another Capricorn ~ if you don't know that one...
you will this one...

quote:

“Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence. Love others as well as you love yourself.” - Jesus Christ

surely, if Jesus did it.... we all can.
(and, I'm not even an active practitioner of Christianity, still value the wisdom in the Bible though~ anyone can... surely...)

Anyway -
Everything starts with "the self" ^^

<--- can u tell my frickin' Piscean dsc is being transit/activated something major!!!
damn Lilith! >.< lulz

---- as for any customer service occupation~
~lacking empathy~ is definitely a sign of someone who takes self-absorption to the extreme, needing to practice humility, sincere reciprocity, and compassion goes a very long way... imho. ~_~

-------- Sand --- 4,8,9,10 ---- redundant much!? XD

~ lol why do you put your leonine ambitions before your taurean ones! ><; lmao

career should be first!!! -derp-

ayn rand fandom <3

very Aqua-Cappy philosophy there ~ one of my favourite kinds, after Scorpion-Geminine/Libran that is~

although my brand of philosophy has always been existentialism~

for objectivity and existentialism

I think of Stig Dagerman.

My SN in Sag forces expansion! haha

Your mars and my mars are two different animals entirely, I don't need to strive to do anything when I already know I own it. XD

Plutonian Martian, is not the same as a Venusian-Martian ~ sorry. ^^;

All they have in common is Scorpion flavour~ everything else is gravely different!

it's not ranked!? bahhhh~ I thought it was literal! haha my Capricorn nature wants to see things put in order, all the time... soooooorrrry!!! haha

Career really should be 1st tho

oh dandy sand~ I will answer this ^ in the other thread... so not to derail your awesome topic all too much~

@ Sand's Venus -- I apologize, really, I thought you were quincunx!~ I'd give it a coddle, but I have enough to deal with *points at the Leo Moon* I've got an arrow aimed at that one, Mister... we gotta get the hot air out of it, so it will match that air-void!

underestimated! harrrumph! sexbrain...? only! T_T ~ grrrr... the sexbrain was your fault!!!!
*feelsslighted* ....I was always top of my class...

no taunting the feral women, Mister!!! *Venus Return*
Picking/pot-stirring on the frustrated, starving cougar-kitties is only gonna make em more peeved, sexbrained or not!

underestimated..... geeze. *huff*

No. The exchange rate is too severe. We're even, Stephen in that regard, despite My SN activation right now, there'll be no refunds or returns to external parties during this Venus transit, sad to say. *pout* you're the devil, after all... Driving a hard bargain is your "thing"... Mine is avoiding Hades. .

Lol
