(that you're probably the only one here that can ever make sense out of! lmfao) /comfort XDwell, I was floating through SP and saw where it was mentioned that Lil had demanded equality --- but that's not really true to the mythos... what she did was disagree, she went against what was expected of her by the "lord"... she plays the feminine form of Lucifer --- it has nothing to do with equality... it has to do with restriction... so when reading your comments I, of course felt you got this accurate whereby most are being misled by the modern interpretations... the feminist slant... but, she is beyond gender, that's her point... beyond roles, beyond the concept of human and divine equality... just like the "fallen one(s)" so, far as I could understand her as representing after years of study in mythology and theology... she represents natural order... and with that chaos... not equality... ^^; Lilith should represent this theme in astrology too... she's not there to make harmony, if she demands anything it is not to be subjected to the preconceived roles and duties being placed on any human... she only rebelled from being subservient, not just to man, but to "god" /or/ "divine law".... she is the natural order of things... nature~ uninhibited energy, regardless of gender. isn't this a more to the book (or legend) way of viewing her...? it's like you mentioned there are other asteroids that better relate to themes of equality, submission, and dominance... or even to extreme notions of misogyny, and feminism... right? female dominance for instance... that's very Artemisian/Amazonian of a practice... female equality is imho better represented by well... there's several others I can think of, in different myths or studies... but, for example, I think astraea, or even ishtar... ishtar was about sharing her power with her king/consort to a fault - astraea representing equality by her settling among man, and leaving only when the balance was corrupted - being associated with virgo/libra - justice... or even hestia, who abdicated her throne to dionysus...... or was it herakles (someone did this when he ascended as well).... these are just better examples in my mind... that would play a role in sexual roles/gender roles... and equality... Certainly, the antifeminist feminist in me wants to say Athene/Pallas as well... both representing the superiority of the female mind in comparison to a man, but by also being about the meeting of minds, balance, and justice again... so equality... in extremes. (granted these are off the top of my head - there's a lot of others, ne?!) My mind doesn't work in a linear way.... sorry.. >.< but ^^ I think you'll be able to make sense of this mess~ and answer~ what was my question again!? oh yes... what is it Lilith represents in her actual mythology compared to how we are viewing her probably erroneously today? that's the simplest I can be... although I'm a simpleton at heart! haha seriously think that ginger ail is cute lol leave it to Scorpy~ haha <3 *drifting too much cause I cant get my liquor out yet* blah x.x haha
Essentially Lilith represents the un-tamable, divine-feminine (dark) which is the only thing that can be said in-definitely. I can argue for years and years and there will still be disagreements in threads about what she represents. Some people only view her within a sexual capacity ex. whenever someone has BML on their mars or venus they automatically think there the next mata hari or s-e-x goddess/god. Her actually mythology has been blurred so much its hard to say what she represents, in some stories she is the serpent that tempts Eve to be disobedient. In other stories she was created before Adam after the creation of light, in another story she rose from the sea on the "fifth day" much like Aphrodite did in Greek mythology one of the reasons she wouldn't lay beneath Adam was because she was created before him. She also represents a divine feminine she's the earliest representation of a woman, interestingly she shouldn't be able to defy "the divine will" of god/question the order of things so she has to have some magic quality. Eve wasn't able to disobey until she was coaxed by the serpent to do so. A lot of that feminine upheaval in a way stems from the early societies we're androgynous/female goddesses were worshiped. I don't think Artemis and the Amazons represent dominance either rather they wanted to not be confined to pre-conceived gender roles as well. Artemis was hell-bent on keeping her virginity(debatable term)/refusing to marry and being allowed to remain "wild" so to speak free from the obligations of marriage and children. One of the reasons she punishes so many men who try to sexual force themselves on her and her followers. The amazons also seemed to want to live outside of pre-conceived roles of mother-hood and marriage in a society without men wielding power. Women such as "vestal virgins" in ancient Rome had privileges that regular women didn't possess, the could own property have a income etc. Rn both Ancient Greece and Rome women weren't considered citizens of the city-states therefore they had no rights and no claim to property. Even some men didn't have rights, if one were in war and lost they would be claimed as slaves of the winning city. The only city that allowed rights to some extent towards women was Sparta I believe. Its understandable that they would be warrior women, how else can you have society with only women and avoid invasion and capture. IP: Logged |

Actually I did start a thread with all of the Amazonian women but ehh it didn't catch on. I have Lilith opposite my asc and conjunct my mc so I don't identify with that super sexual energy Lilith is suppose to bring unless I am not being objective enough on myself......if anything Priapus as more sexual than Lilith herself. Hmmm maybe I should study some male charts with him.IP: Logged |

Lord! I got ONE LAST PAIR OF SHOES. This time for me. Now I'm done. For sure! I have $500 in my chequeing account. Time to build it back up to more than a thousand. (I'll provide a pic later if ya wanna see 'em; right now I'm at my friend's house) quote: SaturnineMoth: Scorpy ~ may I get your overall opinion on this chart??!?!?!
Who's chart is dat? It's a lotttt of Capricorn. The unaspected Mars is interesting. All the Capricorn + unaspected Sagittarius Mars...what an active person? Or maybe too active! Are they the type to run right over other people without really realising it? Disposition-wise, I imagine they might be a little neurotic/stressed but they don't show it much. Excitable. Like I said, probably run over people blindly/cheerily. IP: Logged |

I bumped the amazon thread if you want to read through it. A old member named Glaucus had some links for how to calculate the nodes of other planetary objects this should help: Actually I found some more books on lilith too http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/015709.html IP: Logged |

Glaucus' stuff I dense I remember there being a generator to figure out the nodes of any object I have to check my laptop. Basically you think of times when any major events occurred for the year and see if they match up to the planetary placements bit keeping the orbs extremely tight. Three major things happened to me during my 18th year and. 18 is the day of my birth so its suppose to be more significant. So for you, the most significant years could be 13, 26, and 39. Again HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
