The hubs is traveling and I've got the girlios to bed, so I've settled down with Arroyo's _Person-to-Person Astrology_ and a cat

What're you doing?

^ Liveblogging

I'm sitting in my kitchen typing. We heat exclusively by fire and this is one of the coldest spots in the house. The hand on my mouse is fre-eee-eezing.

As I type, I am negotiating bedtime terms with my 8 year-old, who just came downstairs wrapped in his galaxies blanket (his mom is a kook, she buys a lot of star blankets! )

I emphasized that it was ELEVEN O'CLOCK and he kind of hung his head in defeat and just headed back upstairs. "Bye bye cutie!!!"

Now my cat is next to me knocking over some stuff that is/was on the windowsill.

I'm hungry because I'm trying to eat less today. 'Should go to bed before I get so hungry I can't sleep. Thinking of binge eating some "healthy" cereal, though nothing is healthy right before bed.

Hmmm....

Whatcha liveblogging?

Re: 8-year-olds: I just told mine to not wake up the baby and make crazy Mommy come out *twitch, twitch*
That got her to bed.
Aw re: star blankets.
My kiddos have those probably slightly tacky glow-in-te-dark stars on their ceiling. I love 'em.

You should eat.
I'll try to go to bed hungry and it never works.
*picks up crumbs from buttermilk biscuit*

Aw :-( : My husband just texted.
It's 15 where he landed and he's stuck on the plane for some reason (the ice is messing with something they use to disembark).
:-/

Oh, and cats are the perfect reading/writing companions

Hmm one of my posts vanished.

It's 15 degrees where your hubby landed? =(

I hate cold weather so much. The only things I like are when it's all new snow, and sometimes I think more clearly in the winter.

Oh and I like roasting myself by the fire stove. =)

Do you like winter?

I'm jealous you have a baby, I love babies and miss holding them. Though I don't miss losing sleep...they're worth it but....no need to explain to you.

I'm going to try and outrun the grumbles in my stomach and go to bed.

Oh I was liveblogging HERE I meant. LOL

'Night!

When this thread started, 10:16... I was putting four leggeds out for last call potty, praying those darn prankster fox are in bed and getting night wood. (We heat exclusively with wood too)

Stopped to gaze at the crystal clear sky; marveling at the gabillions of stars and praying one don`t call Granny home tonight and that she is peaceful, altho alone in ICU.

Gathers family together and meanders off to give thanks for the blessings of the day and get some zzzz`s.

Had I known Mockingbird, I`d have sent baby Z a kiss and night night too.

That is so weird - it seemed like it didn't post from my phone last night.
I just got a continuous "loading"

I was also going to say:

aquaguy - Mangi, mangi!

Faith - Der on me.
My brain was a bit fried last night.
I took the girls to a Girl Scout activity last night - LITTLE GIRL PANDEMONIUM!
My brain's fried after something like that.

Yeah, re: husband: He had to fly into Kansas for something
His company wanted him to fly in the day before, but the airport was closed because of the blizzard.

I like about a month of winter. After that, I'm done.
I lived in the Great Lakes region of NY for a bit and got to enjoy the wonderful, storybook Autumn and then the magical, snowbound holidays...and then I was ready for the snow to melt.
It stuck around until April.
>_>

We haven't really gotten any snow in my part of Virginia this year. I would've liked at least one good snowfall, but oh well.

I envy your wood stove.
We're going to convert a gas fireplace back to wood burning - about three acres of the property we're on is wooded, so heaven knows we have a ready supply

re: babies: They can be awfully nice
And my youngest is a super-cuddly Cancer Sun with a Pisces Moon.
She has a 1st House Aries, so she definitely gets up and goes a great deal of the time, but she has her Mommy Moods - and they're nice.

T - Gah! Any luck finding it?

aquaguy - That sucks re: your truck!
Didn't you just fix it?

juni - We have foxes, too
When I was working and had a bit more cash to burn, I even made t-shirts for all of us that read "Geezer Fox Farm" in honor of one particularly old and bold vixen.
Our big mischief makers are the raccoons, though.
I wish that I could see your crystal clear sky. I've told F that for my birthday I want a new chicken coop (we're expanding) and to drive out somewhere that we can see the stars.

I'm sorry that your Granny's not doing well
How are you?

This message has taken me awhile to write - the kiddo's only 7 mos, but thinks that she's 12 mos. She'll climb a flight of stairs in under a minute if you let her, is standing and cruising, and has the bumps and bruises to show for it.
She just whacked her check pretty well - she has a bloody scrape and everything.
I'd say that you could send her some get well kisses rather than ones for a good night, but some hugs and a little nursing already have her back to crawling around declaring, "MA MA MA, DAH! GAH GAH!"

I'd better hop off.
I took a break to watch a cartoon with the girls and check back here, but there's much to do before a birthday party later today.

I hope that everyone's Saturday is a wonderful one

It was doing it this AM on my LT, too, but they're all connected through the same WiFi.

*shakes fist at Verizon*

Sorry about all of the posts, Randall.
