"The earth recognizes people in whom Source flowers. There is a sensuousness, a centerness, a grace to their movement. There is a relaxed gentility of power flowing quietly within and beneath their action. There is a humble assurdness about them, a reverence, a sense of humor and a sense of the sacred entwined. They are the magical people, for whom the earth has longed." Ken Carey

pretty song, for you....

a nice one to get stuck in your head...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWOyfLBYtuU

"Dog Days Are Over"
Florence + The Machine

Happiness hit her like a train on a track
Coming towards her stuck still no turning back
She hid around corners and she hid under beds
She killed it with kisses and from it she fled
With every bubble she sank with her drink
And washed it away down the kitchen sink

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You can't carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
'Cause here they come

And I never wanted anything from you
Except everything you had and what was left after that too, oh
Happiness hit her like a bullet in the back
Struck from a great height by someone who should know better than that

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
'Cause here they come

Run fast for your mother, run fast for your father
Run for your children, for your sisters and brothers
Leave all your love and your longing behind
You can't carry it with you if you want to survive

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
Can you hear the horses?
'Cause here they come

The dog days are over
The dog days are done
The horses are coming
So you better run

a bright
happy song....

Eric Hutchinson
It's All Over Now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfPXVt0_q5s

Call me crazy if you've got it in you
but these people don't seem to mind
sweet vermouth now you're telling me the truth
a little stubbornness will work out fine
a bottom feeder at the end of my rope
but i'm wondering where this rope began
gonna circle around what i couldn't help bring down
it's just supply with demand
nothing looks the same
even when there's been no change
say that something's gonna give
and it's all giving out on you

CHORUS
when it's all over now
it's all over now
it's no longer fun and it's all been overdone
so it's all over now

a large pickup truck with a little cargo towed
gets from baker's to the laundromat
these daily fights all start to sound alike
Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com
i guess i'm gonna have to live with that
short changed
now it's getting even harder to identify the repetition
short changed
now it's getting even harder to identify the repetition
will i simply peel away
seems more likely everyday
say that something's gonna give
and it's all giving out on you

CHORUS

and if you came here to tell me that you're sorry
for the pain you couldn't cause
then save your breath and use it
just to regain what you have lost and look at the cost
and im keeping nothing on my mind
it was all a waste of time
say that something's gonna give
and it's all giving out on you

It was then that the fox appeared.

"Good morning," said the fox.

"Good morning," the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.

"I am right here," the voice said, "under the apple tree."

"Who are you?" asked the little prince, and added, "You are very pretty to look at."

"I am a fox," the fox said.

"Come and play with me," proposed the little prince. "I am so unhappy."

"I cannot play with you," the fox said. "I am not tamed."

"Ah! Please excuse me," said the little prince.

But, after some thought, he added:

"What does that mean--'tame'?"

"You do not live here," said the fox. "What is it that you are looking for?"

"I am looking for men," said the little prince. "What does that mean--'tame'?"

"Men," said the fox. "They have guns, and they hunt. It is very disturbing. They also raise chickens. These are their only interests. Are you looking for chickens?"

"No," said the little prince. "I am looking for friends. What does that mean--'tame'?"

"It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. It means to establish ties."

"'To establish ties'?"

"Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world . . ."

"I am beginning to understand," said the little prince. "There is a flower . . . I think that she has tamed me . . ."

"It is possible," said the fox. "On the Earth one sees all sorts of things."

"Oh, but this is not on the Earth!" said the little prince.

The fox seemed perplexed, and very curious.

"On another planet?"

"Yes."

"Are there hunters on that planet?"

"No."

"Ah, that is interesting! Are there chickens?"

"No."

"Nothing is perfect," sighed the fox.

But he came back to his idea.

"My life is very monotonous," the fox said. "I hunt chickens; men hunt me. All the chickens are just alike, and all the men are just alike. And, in consequence, I am a little bored. But if you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine on my life. I shall know the sound of a step that will be different from all the others. Other steps send me hurrying back underneath the ground. Yours will call me, like music, out of my burrow. And then look: you see the grain-fields down yonder? I do not eat bread. Wheat is of no use to me. The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat . . ."

The fox gazed at the little prince, for a long time.

"Please--tame me!" he said.

"I want to, very much," the little prince replied. "But I have not much time. I have friends to discover, and a great many things to understand."

"One only understands the things that one tames," said the fox. "Men have no more time to understand anything. They buy things all ready made at the shops. But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more. If you want a friend, tame me . . ."

"What must I do, to tame you?" asked the little prince.

"You must be very patient," replied the fox. "First you will sit down at a little distance from me--like that--in the grass. I shall look at you out of the corner of my eye, and you will say nothing. Words are the source of misunderstandings. But you will sit a little closer to me, every day . . ."

The next day the little prince came back.

"It would have been better to come back at the same hour," said the fox. "If, for example, you come at four o'clock in the afternoon, then at three o'clock I shall begin to be happy. I shall feel happier and happier as the hour advances. At four o'clock, I shall already be worrying and jumping about. I shall show you how happy I am! But if you come at just any time, I shall never know at what hour my heart is to be ready to greet you . . . One must observe the proper rites . . ."

"What is a rite?" asked the little prince.

"Those also are actions too often neglected," said the fox. "They are what make one day different from other days, one hour from other hours. There is a rite, for example, among my hunters. Every Thursday they dance with the village girls. So Thursday is a wonderful day for me! I can take a walk as far as the vineyards. But if the hunters danced at just any time, every day would be like every other day, and I should never have any vacation at all."

So the little prince tamed the fox. And when the hour of his departure drew near--

"Ah," said the fox, "I shall cry."

"It is your own fault," said the little prince. "I never wished you any sort of harm; but you wanted me to tame you . . ."

"Yes, that is so," said the fox.

"But now you are going to cry!" said the little prince.

"Yes, that is so," said the fox.

"Then it has done you no good at all!"

"It has done me good," said the fox, "because of the color of the wheat fields." And then he added:

"Go and look again at the roses. You will understand now that yours is unique in all the world. Then come back to say goodbye to me, and I will make you a present of a secret."

The little prince went away, to look again at the roses.

"You are not at all like my rose," he said. "As yet you are nothing. No one has tamed you, and you have tamed no one. You are like my fox when I first knew him. He was only a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But I have made him my friend, and now he is unique in all the world."

And the roses were very much embarassed.

"You are beautiful, but you are empty," he went on. "One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you--the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe; because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen; because it is for her that I have killed the caterpillars (except the two or three that we saved to become butterflies); because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or ever sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.

And he went back to meet the fox.

"Goodbye," he said.

"Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

"What is essential is invisible to the eye," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."

"It is the time I have wasted for my rose--" said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.

"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose . . ."

"I am responsible for my rose," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

"Yellow" ~ Coldplay

(not even a huge fan of this band, but I like this song sometimes.....when i hear it every so often on a radio ....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5oe4QqRzKg

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow

I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called 'Yellow'

So then I took my time
Oh what a thing to've done
And it was all yellow

Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know? You know I love you so
You know I love you so

I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh what a thing to do
'Cause you were all yellow

I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow

Your skin, oh yeah, your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know? For you I bleed myself dry
For you I bleed myself dry

It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for

Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine

Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do

dudeness.....

LOL (((hugs))) Thank you! ........ erm.... I think........ hahaha (that was a weird visual btw)

Sometimes you..... grow out of things/people/groups/families. I know you know about that. While I will always have fond memories of people here and can say I have learned a heck of a lot from many of them over the years, I don't feel a connection to this place anymore, or that I have anything to offer anyone.

I've lost a lot of respect for people I used to respect here. It's been an ongoing process....after much observing over the years and I won't go into details. People never cease to surprise...or disappoint. Main thing is I don't have much to say or share with people here anymore. I feel disconnected and like a bystander, or like someone sitting on the sidelines who can't relate to what they are saying or doing.

It's a weird place to be, but also kind of peaceful and always food for deep thought. I don't know where I fit in anymore so I'm kind of just living and adjusting to a new way of life with less labels and propaganda. Been there and done it all.

I don't think it's healthy for me or anyone else here for me to be hanging around here anymore. It's become like Facebook, a bad habit and time and energy waster. So, I'm going to try to be kinder to myself and not go back to what it comfortable (here) or 'old habit' and instead just move on to healthier things and broadening my horizons. I've joined another forum that I think is more up my alley and has nothing to do with religious or spiritual talk at all. I don't need that anymore. In fact at this point in my life, i know it would do more harm to me than good.

Anyway, you can tell when I've been 'checking in' here as when I do, I can never keep my mouth shut. So it's better when I don't. I don't want to get caught up in this web anymore.

For tonight, I think I might hang and browse around, but after that, I won't be checking in anymore, again.

It's time to focus on better things and lately I don't feel like this place is healthy for my soul. It brings me down and I don't like it.

Sorry for the ramble. Didnt mean to.

All the best to you SunChild. I'm sure we'll connect again someday down the road.

Oh wow I felt this last night, to be exact. I was going to say something to someone in another thread about the disappearing thread, but I didn't. I am not impressed to so the least with certain individuals. There is no LL anymore, the people are the life blood, what happens when it becomes drained? Nothing to be here for, the people who I really resonate with are gone. The mods and the owner are not 'LL' to me, the community IS and it doesn't feel like one anymore. On that note, optimistically, it may change in the future. Hopefully. Right now, I'm done with coming here. I can not protect this place if we are in the minority. What's the point?

Catch you later T! I'm sure you have my sunchild email, drop me a line down the road, if you want. No obligation lol

I'm hardly ever here anymore, but I'll miss you both.

T, I as going to ask about the other forum, but understand if you want to keep it private. I've been spending a lot of time at another forum over the past year, and have to scale back my time there. I was getting involved in a lot of arguments in the past, and found nicer people to talk to - but even they have their arguments between themselves, because they're human.

Also, I have no idea what's going on. I tend to prefer it that way, but I miss the time when I felt stronger connections to the people here. I still do, but I feel all by myself a lot of the time, and don't want to "infect" people with my state of mind. I find that I can have good, rational days and evenings, like today, and part of yesterday, but then I can just feel like I've lost my mind, when stressed. When I'm calm, I wonder why I can't maintain that... and then I'm reminded why.

I'm filled with so much fear. It just seems to get worse as I get older - and I thought I felt it a lot when I was younger.

You know, the people here really helped me to open up, and to deal with my social anxiety. Even with what happened almost three years ago (when people left, and I thought I'd be gone for good that time). I don't know how that time has passed so quickly, and at the same time, it seems like it was ten years ago.

I'm just feeling all calm and mushy gushy tonight.

Can't. For some reason you still glitch. I would have to pay the tech guy to unregister you. I can block your IP, but you would keep changing it. If you don't want to be here, just stop coming here. Or quit switching IPs. I don't understand what is so difficult about not going to a place that you despise so much. You have been saying for months if not years that you were leaving and never coming back. You said it again last night. If I thought as you do about a site, I would just leave and never look back. What is the big deal about leaving? Plant a garden. Walk your dog. Create art. Just do anything you find productive. Any time you are on here is a waste of it if you are so opposed to LL. Simply close the door and move on.

First of all, don't try to make it sound like I switch IP's all the time. I learned how to do that a long time ago after you quietly banned me when I wasnt done talking yet. You wanted to make it look like I ran away and shut me up real quick w/o anyone even knowing. I switched IPs so I could post here and eventually was allowed back, I hadnt switched my IP since. I've never posted under another name here and don't continually switch IPs and you know it. So, stop trying to make it sound like that is something I do regularly.

Also stop saying I constantly say I am leaving and never coming back. I don't. When I leave, I leave and I'm gone. W/O saying anything.

quote:
What is the big deal about leaving?"

There isnt one. That's why I don't make a big deal about it and instead just do it and stop posting. I know your ego would like to make it seem like people can't leave here, but countless have and continue to, so get over yourself.

quote:
Plant a garden. Walk your dog. Create art.

How about YOU plant a garden, walk your dog or do something useful yourself? Anything other than spread rumors about people behind their backs where they can't defend themselves, like you do on FB about myself and others. You once goaded me a long time ago saying you were saying things on FB and for people to check there to see what you had to say, knowing I don't have one and couldnt see or say anything about it. I asked you to say it here on LL "to my face" so I could defend myself, but of course you wouldnt and we both know why. Instead you will play like a high schooler and sh*t talk people and try to ruin their reputations where they can't see it.

So, why don't you grow up and get some real hobbies? You do realize that everything you say about people on FB gets back to them right? I've asked someone not to tell me the rumors you have spread about me because I cannot deal with it right now and don't even want to know right now. But when I say the word, I've plenty of people that have a ton of info they want to share with me.

I hope you are having fun being a douchebag and thinking it makes you look better. Unfortunately for you, too many people know the truth.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time."
Abraham Lincoln

Have a nice life.
