Could it be my 1st house NepTUNA and my 5th house PURRcury? Or is it because the ruler of my ASC is in the sign of the fishes? Or maybe because my moon is in the sign of the lion? Is it really MEWtual? Or is it just my overactive imagination? What do you think? IP: Logged |

Meowchy........ Overactive imagination and a penchant for punnies. Seriously though, if your cats love you it is because you love them. IP: Logged |

I know why my dog loves me, but these cats I will never understand. I'm outside with one now. It recently had 5 babies, 4 of them have homes now. Right now it is all over me extremely loveable. I've food out here that it has gobbled up and a water dish. It ate all the food so i went and got it more (mix of cold cuts and dog food cut/broken up into bite sizes). She's all over me....loving up on me. Never known such a lovey stray. Eariler her one baby was waddling around and i was afraid it was going to wander into the street and get hit... I think it's sleeping now. She seems to be on high alert and looking out for it. She won't leave my side and seems to be guarding the food and water I'm giving her. Poor thing. What a love bug though....especially for a stray. I'm almost thinking about keeping it.....even though i'm allergic. Can always take Claritin...... IP: Logged |

my chihuahua likes cats quite a bit too (because unlike most dogs, they don't get all up in her grill lol)....so it might work out...IP: Logged |

she's been drinking the water like she's never had a drop in her life...still guarding and eating the food, then going back for some more water. she sat up on my lap for awhile (yes, i let her)....now I am itching all over, poor mama is riddled with fleas like all these strays are. the entire neighborhood is loaded with them right now. i don't care. she needed some love.very friendly little girl. she's tiny and quite scrawny for a new mama. *cedarwood oil repels fleas quite well. I used some on her and I. They can't stand it. IP: Logged |

Cedar and cedar oil are toxic to cats. Please do not use it on them. It will damage their liver. If the cat is badly infested, I would recommend getting flea treatment *from a vet*. Despite all the crap on the internet about how dangerous those treatments are, they are far safer than cedar oil for them! But please do not buy cheap on-skin treatments from the grocery store--only brands that vets sell, like Frontline. Yes they are expensive, but they are much, much safer. (Be sure to check with the vet if she had kittens recently if it's OK to use it on her right now.) And please get her some cat food. Cats can develop deficiencies, kidney problems and IBS from dog food. If she's underweight and just had kittens, feed her kitten food, as that's a little higher is calories. Be very careful if you feed her any human food: nothing with diary or onion in it. Diary can cause diarrhea in adult cats and onion causes anemia. Cold cuts often have onion seasoning in them, and they are very high in salt. Plain, unseasoned cooked chicken meat is far better. Make sure she has all the water she needs but monitor her water intake. She may simply be dehydrated, but chronic excessive water consumption is symptomatic of a serious illness. It may also be due to the dog food and the salt in the cold cuts.
