Hera, I"m only Miss Grumpy-pants when I have good reason to be. Usually it's been when someone is being passive aggressive with me or silently bullying me or I've been pushed to the limit here. Only then do I flip out. To the outside observer, i'm sure it seems like I'm simply a moody turbo ***** . Thankfully, I think all that bs is finally over. I've been dealing with a bunch of bs for years. anyway, thank you. I'm trying to think of some songs for people i know in this thread like you, Faith, aquaguy..... They right song will come ...... When I was trying to rectify my birth time last year, my main criteria was that I wanted my ASC to be conjunct Ian Anderson's birthday, because I like him so much.
LOL!!! I know what you mean. I was thrilled (honored ? lol ) when I found out Bob Dylan's Sun is conjunct my Mercury and his Moon/Uranus conjunct my Sun. It all became clear. He is my soulmate. And all those songs he was writing all those years were definitely about me! #crazed fan IP: Logged |

Faith, Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes - Paul Simon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf4YyXVoWeA ( I always loved the imagry of that, and the interchangablity of soles for soul..... a rich soul... or someone who doesnt care about walking on and ruining something so expensive... a diamond encrusted soul, producing rainbows with Light if that makes sense lol I think Cappy rules diamonds, if i remember correctly, too... Ami, I realized there is a more vulgar meaning to that phrase. When I was younger we said it meaning that you'd never get involved with a friend or even aquaintence's man - even after they'd broken up. Not to mention, no one wants to be second best, or a second choice, last option when others have failed. The online slang dictionary is always a bit OTT and it seems like a bunch of bored people making things up. LOL IP: Logged |

Thank you, T!I love Paul Simon, and I love that song! I can't get enough of the African singers and have always been especially happy with the line..."You've taken me for granted, so I'm leaving." So classy. And yes, diamonds and Caps go together! I just like them because they're pretty...I'd feel weird wearing big diamonds but have no problem staring at them on other people. As for you and Bob Dylan, maybe some day! He's still alive and only...um, lemme check...only 26 years older than you. That's a totally reasonable age difference. I just wonder how we can set this up. Either my thinking cap isn't working or it would be truly difficult...I just can't tell. 'Guess it all depends on how often you're in Malibu hanging around his driveway or something. IP: Logged |

I love the African singers on that album too. btw, he is almost 40 years older than me. thank you for adding on 11 or so years to me !!! I think at his age that would be pushing it, even for me. IP: Logged |

Thanks gals. I've had an emotionally draining day after an argument here, but then a friend came over and cheered me up. She's a Cancer, many years older than i but very young in spirit - beautiful inside and out, and I'm able to be vulnerable her around her because she doesnt judge. She's my neighbor too and we have gotten very close over the past many months and can laugh up a storm at times. It's nice to have at least one person in the world who actually cares. She always lifts me up.anyway, thanks for the love. IP: Logged |

It is very, very, very hard to ignore people who harass you. I learned to do that after 3 long years of screwing up and I could screw up again, right after posting this. However, your REAL power is in ignoring. You are being a bigger sucker to be drawn in by someone than to ignore them. That is my experience for anyone who is interested ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Ami, thanks. I like to think I've gotten pretty good at ignoring (when you know it's someone purposely trying to rile you up). But there's also a time to not shut up. And if youve shut your mouth for too long and "walked away" too many times over a number of years ... sometimes it's better not to. There is a time when it's better to speak up. Even if people don't understand where you are coming from. Or havent been around long enough to see where you are coming from. You just have to do it. And not suck something up and just walk away. You can only do that so many times.anyway, thank you for the good advice. IP: Logged |

if i may be so bold..... this is my jam. only sharing it because everyone should know it by heart. She Belongs To Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvS-6_nKWZM She's got everything she needs She's an artist, she don't look back She's got everything she needs She's an artist, she don't look back She can take the dark out of nighttime And paint the daytime black. You will start out standing Proud to steal her anything she sees You will start out standing Proud to steal her anything she sees But you will wind up peeking through her keyhole Down upon your knees. She never stumbles She's got no place to fall She never stumbles She's got no place to fall She's nobody's child The Law can't touch her at all. She wears an Egyptian ring That sparkles before she speaks She wears an Egyptian ring That sparkles before she speaks She's a hypnotist collector You are a walking antique. Bow down to her on Sunday Salute her when her birthday comes Bow down to her on Sunday Salute her when her birthday comes For Halloween buy her a trumpet And for Christmas, give her a drum. Bob Dylan (how effing brilliant is he? ) quote: You are a walking antique
best line ever written.

I agree. Sometimes you have to be strong and speak up because your honor is at stake. Good point, T ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

It reminds me of you because I get the impression that you would be chilling out most of the time, in your own head. The song seems as if he's not singing out loud to anyone, he's just singing to himself. IP: Logged |
