My feet are particularly ugly, so I have to agree. Some people at least have feet that are shaped nicely, but for this Pisces forget it. I suppose if I wanted to pick anything about my physical body that was ugly, it would be my feet.  Hands can be pretty ugly too, I've noticed. Depends on how they're shaped, really. My hands are so-so. My feet...forget toeless sandals or pedicures. Absolutely pointless. I can't wait until that crap goes out of style.  IP: Logged |

I've also never had a professional manicure in my life. I can do my own nails just fine if I choose to (although I generally just keep them clipped short), what's the point of paying someone to do it for me, and putting weird, fake crap on my nails...? I don't mind the shape of my feet nor my toes however I had the rather lovely experience of having both my big toenails ripped off by some overzealous Italian doctors when I went skiing and my toenails were all bruised. No warning or anaesthetic, I felt I was in a torture chamber, not a doctor's surgery. lolWhen the nails eventually grew back they never looked the same again. I know I hate feet too. So gross! It's not that there's anything intrinsically wrong with them, but they're just so far away and most people don't really take care of them. They have to be the most neglected body part! Which makes them gross in my opinion. You walk around on them all day, they touch the floor (especially the bathroom floor!) and it's not like you can wash them like you would your hands and it would be all fine. In fact, I think allot of people never really wash them properly! It's not like you bend down in the shower and properly scrub between the toes every day. I mean I guess you could. But it's just really really inconvenient. Because they are all the way down there. Then again your feet are pretty essential in getting you places and helping you keep your balance. So of course I love them. I just don't want anyone's feet anywhere near me! PDF (public displays of feet) is so not cool. IP: Logged |

Hahaha. PDF.  Yes, I appreciate my feet (they do get me where I need to go, after all). And I do wash them properly (otherwise, ew). But yeah, mine are still ugly. No use in trying to act as though they're dainty or nicely shaped or anything. I just spare the public and wear canvas slip-ons in the summer. I do, however, want to pull my hair out when shopping for summer shoes, and all I can find are sandals that aren't even practical for everyday life. Stop the madness! Does anyone remember Flava Flave's love show and the spin-off I Love New York? One episode filmed her in the tub with someone and he was sucking her toes, and I almost vomited. I agree that some are. Though I really never find any feet "beautiful".
I can appreciate someone who at least take good care of them. My thing is... I feel amazed that feet with those tiny bones support our whole body and during sports and such. Wow! There's a culture out there that at a very young age they constrict their feet and let them grow that way. Toes tucked under. I forget which culture.
I'll have to research but I'm sure no one wants to see that.
Edit: no longer done. It was done to young girls in China - called foot binding

I'm not a foot fetishist but I don't know why some people hate feet so much. I think they are fine. Sure, sometimes I'll see someone and think "WOW those are some ugly / nice-looking feet." but I'll think that about any other part of someone's body, too. IP: Logged |

Hahahaha! I never saw that (thank God), but yeah...omg. *barf* I also have a hammer toe, hence the ugly foot issue. My other foot is shaped well, but no toeless shoes for me thanks. It's been like that since I was born, and I've played sports and been active all my life, so...the hammer toe stays. Because I also don't relish the idea of anyone operating on my feet. But I take care of my feet because I use to live near my beach.. and my aunt had horrible feet that scarred me... I was like hell no am I going to let my feet look that way.Oh Like if you've been in missionary and your feet is right near your partners shoulders than yeah I think it's kinda cute if you kiss the foot you're away from the face.

Actually there are some feet I think look nice. The kind of feet that look eerie to me have toes that are more narrow than the body of the foot. To me it looks strange.
