Bad news for us...I think Doug and Jamie are on the rocks.

--

--

Doug posted on his Twitter:"Don't give up on me, @jamienotis!" and she's been leaving cryptic little motivational signs that indicate unhappiness.

Ugh...why?!! Love always ends up in the gutter....

Maybe not always...but, too often. On television especially.

ttyl ~ still waiting for a block of free time, to get caught up on 90 Day fiancee.

Oh no!! I wonder what he did this time? lol

I don't even know what some of these people are thinking on 90-day Fiancee. Some of them are clearly 'not all there'.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens before the k1 visas expire. I can't imagine the Tunisian guy really in it for love. He looks like he could be that woman's son and seemed pretty upset to learn she had money problems that she didn't tell him about. If he decides not to go through with the marriage that poor woman will be devastated. People are so strange. lol

Oh I saw a pic of the Tunisian guy with his...um...lover? The picture makes me wince. I just felt like backing away from the screen, like "OH NO. NOT THAT. MAKE IT STOP!!!!"

I've been so busy lately but should have time for TV this weekend. Then I will catch up with you about it.

---

As for Doug and Jamie, maybe it's the same issue as before, only worse?

"Jamie, honey, I'm going to take our niece to the playground and buy her some balloons and cotton candy "

"Awww, Doug, you are SWEETEST man ever!"

Doug proceeds to the park to buy drugs and start drinking whiskey, heads home...

"Doug you smell like booze! What on earth??"

"Huh? No, someone just spilled some on me."

"Spilled it in your mouth???"

"Yeah, weirdly enough. No lie."

Gawd you are funny!! re: Jamie and Doug scenario

Remembering back.....i think i sensed a bit of unbalance in that relationship in that I think Doug still had some more learning to do and relationship experience to gain - i don't know why, intuitive I guess. I really did like him and think he's a good guy, but maybe not a forever match for Jamie. I think a man with more experience and maturity would suit her better.

re: the Tunisian guy and erm.....lover lady....

Wait til you see the part where she thinks he hasn't shown up at the airport. Then realizes he has.......and embraces him, crying like a baby. If he hadn't shown up, I think she would've been traumatized for life. The poor thing. I don't think that one's going to end well....

I wonder if some of these people plan to marry and stay with the other for awhile until they get comfortable and situated in the US and then leave them.

A few of them clearly have other agendas going on (Daya, Cassia, Mohamed). I just wonder when they plan on making a break for it - before or after a marriage takes place?

And I've changed my mind on the SA Christian girl and guy. It might work out if he can make some major adjustments and once she gets out of the brother's house and they are able to live their own life together.

Chelsea and Yamir seem to really love each other, but I have doubts that he will be able to adjust to small town USA after being a pop star in Nicaragua.

& Justin and Evelyn......she seems genuinely sweet and he seems like your typical douche. The only reason she's not seeing it yet is because the language and cultural barrier (and rose colored glasses that many people wear at the beginning). I think she deserves better (episode one will explain why - he seemed to think he got himself a maid ) If they stay together, i hope he can really man up and treat her right. She seems like a good person. And maybe we haven't seen his full picture yet. I hope so.

and I'm sorry, but no matter how much I thought I met the love of my life and could trust him, as a mother of 3 young daughters, I would NEVER have a strange man (especially from another country) come live in our house with us. Just way too risky and dangerous in my mind. He should've gotten his own apartment or place to live while they decided if the relationship was going to work out in "real life". I think it was irresponsible of her to bring a man she'd never met (only talked to online) into a house with 3 young girls.

As nice as she is, she seems to have some serious mental issues and is extremely needy and naive Luckily he doesn't seem dangerous or someone who might harm her or the girls. But seriously, how dumb is she?

And I don't think she's setting a good example for her daughters, especially with her displays of emotional instability and extreme neediness. The eldest daughter seems to be the mom of the group and that's sad.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ETA - about the embarrassing sex talk at the dinner table i mentioned in the other thread, apparently someone did ask her about it. I missed that the first time. Her reply was still quite awkward! lol
Ok!
Finally got some time to start watching! I can't find the video for season 1, episode 1, so I just played the first one available.
They're cute! I was shocked when they showed his house because it's a style particular to my area, and in that brief glimpse they show, his house looks exactly like my brother-in-law's. Turns out he's from my area...but not living with my in-laws, no.
Anyway she cried when she saw the table they set up for her bachelorette party, and that was adorable. I love that her wedding dress has pockets =)
I love her mom, too. I wonder if her mom keeps crying because she's sad that his father has reservations about her? I would be so sad if my daughter married into a family that thought she wasn't right for them. Actually....I would try very hard to persuade her not to get into that situation.
So far in my viewing I can't tell what he's like, but his brother and sister-in-law are grilling Evelyn and they are so obnoxious and condescending to her...and Justin's letting it happen. So..I would head back to Colombia just for that, if I were her. And Jennifer's like, "I don't understand why he doesn't want us at the wedding!" Well, I understand.
Jason & Cassia ~
I just can't imagine marrying a guy like that. I would run for the hills. Something about him scares me.
Brett & Daya ~
I'm glad she figured out how to get along with his daughter. Cute family, if they become one.
Oh wait, apparently I'm watching the episodes in reverse...Daya suspected the ring was fake??? Isn't that a huge red flag?
I like Chelsea, Yamir, and her parents.
My first impression of Danielle is positive, she is sweet, and so is Mohammed...at least I can see how they could get along...but I've only seen them for a few minutes at this point.
But I totally agree with you:
Me either.
My protective instincts for my children run so high, I would rather err on the side of caution and stay single, even if I completely trusted another man. Because I know my judgment about men isn't perfect, I have Venus conjunct Neptune, need I say more?
Yeah, you need to see episode 1. She arrived at the airport and he greeted her with a big beautiful bouquet of flowers and she was ****** because they weren't roses. Said angrily something like "What's this? I told you I wanted roses." with this really scary mad-face. I think she was the one who pointed to her luggage and said "My bags are over there." as if to say, go get them. She scares me.
& yeah, so does Jason. I think Cassia's only here to try to make it as a bikini model. Don't know if you saw that episode yet, but it sounds like she's got other plans in mind. I don't know, maybe she wants to stay with him too....at least until something better comes along.
Will respond more when time is freed up later.
It bothers me that I didn't mention the fact that I do not have your email.
New people may not know what I know: since I've been here, I've never seen you offer your email to anyone. You have politely sidestepped the issue when people have asked to get in email contact with you and stated multiple times that you no longer extend forum friendships offline.
So I KNOW you are not some big email gossip ringleader. If you are not the type to be interested it now, it makes sense that weren't the type back then, and you didn't join the Squirrels, and you didn't email all the mods (as Juni showed) and didn't do all this cr*p being pinned on you.
Not everyone knows, but I know.
Sorry I didn't mention this where it would have been more relevant.
Thank you Faith.
"and you didn't join the Squirrels" LOL I feel like we are 5 years old now. No, I didn't and I am glad. Part of the reason I stay away from online friendships now is because of things that have stemmed from here, mainly that whole thing.
I notice someone said in another thread, why don't I just leave? It's because of people like you and a handful of others. I'm glad all that came to the surface, even though it was ugly and I didn't get my whole side out. I don't need to now. These kind of blow ups are usually for the best. Though sometimes it takes some time to see them that way.
Well, i really should go take a break now.
Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for speaking up.
Thank you both
Hope you caught up on some good sleep PD.
Faith, have you been keeping up with the show? I just finished watching the latest episode. I'm wondering if Muhammed really couldn't kiss his new bride at the alter due to the religious reasons he claimed. I don't think that one's going to end well.
One more episode to go!
T!!!! A hug right back and so much love your way. No... I still haven't slept at all. Can you believe it?
You're welcome. My advice to you would be to never bring him up. He has authority to abuse you (and let others do so also) on here. It's a serious imbalance of power that can play against your favor. I don't want you to be hurt.
