I ate the hottest hot sauce I have ever had. I am a hot sauce freak so I can have a lot with no problem but this was out of this world and the burn hit you later, as some peppers do. They don't taste that hot as you are eating them. I don't like that! My heart hurt and the pain was going down into my stomach like bad waves. I panicked and remembered what Randall said about milk. I ate some swiss cheese and it went away. Thank God for Randall's suggestion way back in Gaii's Garden  ------------------

I just saw it on the Food Network. In hot pepper eating competitions (such as the infamous Ghost Chili), they drink milk afterwards to stop the pain. IP: Logged |

I am embarrassed to say what I did.
I LOVE hot peppers and I got the best hot sauce I ever had.
One was Carolina reaper which is hotter than ghost. One was Scorpion, I think.
I was eating it straight  ------------------

After eating hot sauce for years, I've built up quite a tolerance for it, so what makes other people cry and spaz out barely even affects me. So I bought Ghost Pepper hot sauce, wondering how I would fare with it...I make myself an oriental-style vegetable soup...this is like the mainstay of my diet in the winter. One drop Ghost Pepper + TX Pete hot sauce ->  Three drops Ghost Pepper ->

FaithThis is interesting and HOW I got myself in my dilemma yesterday. Ghost pepper has a burn at the time. Scorpio has a delayed one. I think Fatali, which I ate, too, has a delayed one. Hence, I was used to Ghost pepper because it is more linear. The others don't taste hot at the time. In fact, they taste like tobasco but after a few minutes, it is WOOOOW  ------------------

Someone gave me a present of Earl's hot sauce. He grows his own peppers and it is all natural. It is the Rolls Royce of pepper sauces  ------------------

Thank you, DF. I just used the sugar. These Carolina reaper peppers have the after burn. I don't like that. 2 hours later, you are dying. Thank God for you because I grabbed chocolate and now I am a boss PS I needed the cheese, too. ------------------

Yea, now that I know how to handle it I am not afraid, Randall. Thank God for you and DF. The thing with the Carolina Reaper is that it does not feel hot going down, so I had a lot.
Man, it hit after an hour or two. I never had this kind of pepper pain
I took chocolate drops like DF said and swiss cheese like you said. Today, I had some but not that much and it was fine lol ------------------

Here is my take away lesson Randall. Ghost pepper hits you in the chest. It is hot but that pain is nothing compared to the Carolina Reaper and the Habanero which do not hit you in the chest but in the stomach due to the delay in heat. The latter do not seem that hot as you eat them so you can eat a lot. In fact, the Carolina reaper does not feel that much hotter than normal hot sauce but then it hits you like a nuclear bomb in a few hour lol------------------
