BarbieDid you see the Amazon link I left. This book is pure magic. I am in love with it and think it will be up there with my all time fave books---The Stand and The Bell Jar. I ordered the sequel, but have not gotten it yet. I am about 20 pages from the end, but don't want it to end. It reminds me of my all time fave children's book "A Wrinkle in Time" I must have read this dozens of times. ------------------

Is it, Randall? Have you ever read it?I left this link for Barbie. I just finished part one. It was one of the best books I have ever read, I have to wait a week or so for part two. I have old favorites that have never been displaced. Most books I read are average. This one is off the wall  ------------------

I read some reviews and it sounds amazing!!! I wanna read it.  I just have SOO many books that I'm currently reading at the moment LOL. I have so many favorites! My problem is my memory. I remember dates and things that don't really matter and forget everything else. I think it's a result of the trauma from my early tweens to teens. IP: Logged |

That's awesome!! It sounds, based on the reviews, like an awesome book. Glad you enjoyed it. I have soo many books I'm currently reading but want to read that one so bad. I'm so much better than yesterday. I unfortunately, after almost 3 years free, had one of my CVS episodes. Still really drained from it all and my ribs hurt but I'm okay. Brought back a lot of painful memories but all in all I'm much better. Driving is going really well. Getting better the more I drive. I got my licensed last week actually! Haven't been driving as much as I thought I would be but it feels awesome knowing I can whenever I feel like it. Aside from that I'm doing great! How are you? How's your dad doing? IP: Logged |

It worries me that it'll pick up full swing again but I'm trying to remain as optimistic about it as possible. I can't think like that. I've had this my whole life so I should be used to it. I had been waking up pretty hot and dizzy days before it actually happened. Whenever I get overheated that tends to trigger one. So I had woken up again earlier that morning dizzy and hot again but was able to cool off. When I woke up the next time it was a full blown episode. They're very random, no set time or certain day. They just happen. I was sick for about 10 and 1/2 hours. IP: Logged |

Wow I studied to be an acupuncture physician. They think in totally different terms. They don't NAME things. They think in terms of temperature( hot/cold) and other Oriental metaphors like too much wind/fire/ etc etc I see for myself that I have a cold condition in my stomach. I cured an ulcer( not diagnosed by a doctor) by hot, hot pepper Do you want to brainstorm with me, just to talk ------------------

Honestly, no. I've had it my entire life and its something that I'll most likely always have to deal with. It's a neurological thing so there's really nothing I can do there. On a whole different subject, Barbie. You know what is interesting? How all the English royalty had gardens. It was essential to them. I have one and when I am upset, it really calms me down. People forget the power of simple things like this lol------------------

Agreed! I don't have one and not really a green thumb but DeepFreeze sure is LOL! I'd kill a plant the moment I got it. Whenever I see someone gardening I always think of how soothing and relaxing it must be for them. I'm sure that's one reason why it was so essential for them. I can't even begin to fathom the boredom those poor queens had to endure. Gardening is also pretty hard work! Lots of bending and twisting and getting dirty lol (typical Libra right). IP: Logged |

BarbieI am reading a light book in Anne Boleyn but it talks about how scary it is when one man has ultimate power as Henry did after he broke with Rome. History really does repeat itself and teach us lessons which we don't want to seem to learn ------------------
