I've just watched a miniseries based on a book I read nine years ago. Life After Life. It's about a woman who is reborn, over and over. She gradually makes it out of childhood, although she occasionally dies during birth. She feels that she has a mission, that she remembers as she's dying again. She's born as the same woman, into the same family, over and over, and you see her reaction to people or things, in her new lives. How they change. IP: Logged |

Strangers, Dean Koontz. I read it when I was a teenager, and something triggered a memory of the story last night, when we were on our way home from the lake. I downloaded it from the online library. Dean Koontz used to have a good, chilling buildup in some of his novels, only for the ending to be disappointing, like Stephen king, and others. It’s hard to stick a landing. But I haven’t finished it yet, so I can’t remember if this one works. IP: Logged |
