There are no conjuncts to my Saturn. I think I have an obsessive persona though. Maybe it's conj an asteroid I have yet to catch in action with my chart.

I thought I remember Ami Anne also saying "Saturn cools what it touches."

But given her original post interpretation that Saturn obsessively actualizes what it is conjunct:

I have asteroid Magdalena and Compassion(r) conjunct my Saturn(r).

I have Saturn 25' Cap in the 12th conjunct:

Pandora 24'
Ishtar 26'
Venus 26'
Sekhmet 27'
North Node 28'
Alma 28'

I am obsessed with researching and learning things, especially metaphysical subjects. Perhaps Pandora's box for me in this sense is the never-ending rabbit hole I jumped down lol. Oops.

I'm a learner like everyone else, but I don't think Saturn conjunctions cause someone to be obsessed with the energy of that planet/asteroid. Saturn is a karmic planet, so obviously you're going to have to deal with the energy of anything that conjuncts it, but its meaning in astrology has been consistent for thousands of years. Saturn represents karma, limitations, restrictions, delays, authority, perseverance, maturity and coldness.

There are many things in astrology that can explain things like nymphomania, such as(according to vedic astrology):

- mars in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th houses.
- NN in 7th, 8th, 12th.
- 11th lord in 7th house.
- moon/sun/ASC in mars ruled nakshatras.
- and more in Western astrology!

Why test new theories when there are so many old ones being ignored?

Part of the problem is the word "obsessive." This word is too vague.

Since Saturn restricts what it touches, more than likely obsession is a symptom of lack. For instance, Saturn conjunct Mercury could cause someone to lack affect or struggle with expressive communication, or impair their ability to think logically. Thus, Saturn's restrictions has caused this hypothetical person to "obsess" over their communication or reasoning abilities, like trying to learn to walk after breaking a leg.

Interesting theory! I'd think that Saturn-born obsession would come from struggle. I mean that the vicinity of Saturn to these asteroids would act to impede them and thus make me more preoccupied with them. Let's see how it checks out in my chart...

Saturn at 18.13 Sagittarius

- Fides (trust, fidelity) 16.47
- Peitho (persuasion) 17.05
- Sverige (Sweden) 18.23
- Guest 19.27
- Rocknroll 19.33
- Zvezdotchet (stargazer) 19.35
- Smuts (dirt) 20.23

No very significant asteroids there... but some interesting stuff. Not very easily connected to any obsessions of mine though. Well Zvezdotchet perhaps, considering my obsession with astrology and astronomy. And I am rather obsessed with Mary Douglas' anthropological theories regarding dirt (matter out of place). I don't think I'm any more preoccupied with truth and fidelity than any other person. Peitho and Guest I don't know what to make of. I'm certainly obsessed with music, but definitely not just rock. None of these themes have been associated with any kind of struggle or inhibition in my life, that I can think of.

Sweden being on there kind of makes sense though. I'm a Swedish-speaking Finn. My family has lived in Finland since time immemorial, but we still doggedly speak Swedish and know barely enough Finnish to get by. I studied at a university in Sweden because I don't speak Finnish very well. I loved my time in Sweden, because life was simple when I could pass as part of the majority. But Finland is still my home and I can't ever feel properly at home in Sweden. So yeah, in my life there is both struggle and a flavor of obsession connected to Sweden. Sverige is also the asteroid closest to Saturn, the only one to be found on the same degree, so maybe the others are just too far away to make an impact.
